Quote:Not this year. He appears to have retired.
Still waiting for the TMD "rec" board 2014.
He's running for the hills on this one, apparently. Ducking and running.
He's not running. He's just hiding under his rock hoping and praying something will happen to validate his position. If that doesn't happen, then he'll just casually slide to the left and try to put some distance there.
Yeah, the "rec" board. Look for a lot of cutting and pasting there. It won't be fluffy or puffy.
I like how he doesn't even acknowledge people asking for his "recs".
You would expect a normal person to say, "Ya im working on it." or something. He just acts like nobody said anything about it. lol

"this is a very good point I made"
little over a week away now and no "recs" in sight. What time do the jaguars pick? The board will come out 3 minutes after the pick is announced.

Every one of the players I rec'ed in my draft will go on to become good NFL players.
All of them.
The list:
Calais Campbell
Ray Rice
Frank Odom
Cody Wallace
Terrence Wheatley
William Franklin
Caleb Campbell
I guess 2 of seven
isn't so bad = all of them.

You're blind then. I've said on numerous occasions it will be out prior to the draft. ON this very thread I said it, too in post 80. Take the blinders off, Stevie WOnder....
Quote:Ha. Nice try Gamecock fan.
He's 6'1. He's not short.
And watch that TD v. Ohio State game and tell me he has "reduced hops".
No I'm a Purdue fan.
6'1 is short for a Wr and it's worse when he has poor route running
And that was before the injury he dosent rly jump anymore they have his that pretty well
Why don't I throw in his character issues to which I don't rly care about
Mike Evans is way better than he'll ever be
6'1" is not short for a receiver. It's average.

6'1 is not short for a receiver. Not even close.
And what injury are you talking about? You mentioned ACL earlier. To my knowledge, he's never had an ACL injury.

Since when and his route running is way better than Evans.
Some people assume that if a receiver is great in the screen game, then he must not be a good route runner.

Thats not why he is bad at route running
Quote:Thats not why he is bad at route running
since when was he a bad route runner?

Do you have something to back up your claim?
Watkins is already a damn good route runner. I can only imagine what he'd look like after a year under Sullivan.

wut?
It's all speed he dosent run nfl routes and let's add in his poor blocking he's really great I mean
Umm... if there's a guy who doesn't run the best routes, and scares the heck out of you the way he catches with his body and bobbles catches... that guy is Evans.
That's not a knock on Evans, as Jimmy Smith did his share of body catching and double clutching receptions (bottom line is you make the catch.)
But Watkins is clearly the better route runner of the two.
With a QB like Manziel, Evans was constantly having to break off routes and improvise.
He's not a bad route runner. He never runs NFL routes and it was a major question I had going into the process whether he could run good routes consistently. He answered as much of the question as you could during one offseason. It's why I moved him from my #2 receiver to #1. His blocking is average. As far as a torn ACL... I have no idea about anything like that. He was given a full bill of health at the combine and was the top performer.

I don't think the question is whether Watkins can run a good route. He can run beautiful routes. The only question now is whether he can do it consistently and in game situations.
