As the second QB we draft, if he's still around in the 5th-7th. I don't expect him to be anything anytime soon but he's got some nice physical attributes and might be worth bringing in as a developmental guy.
As long as we take somebody else before him.
Quote:7th round would be good
I wouldn't be to upset about using a 5th/6th on him, his arm strength/mobility/toughness is really interesting. Give him 2-3 years to develop and maybe he turns into something. Reminds me of Kaep sorta
It will be surprising if he isn't gone well before day 2 ends. In fact, I would say it's probably greater than 50/50 that he is gone before we pick at 70.
He'll never be there that late. He's too athletically gifted to slip that far with a guy his size. Some team will take a shot at him much earlier based on those traits alone. Along with him having a cannon for an arm. Somebody will take him earlier to attempt to catch lightning in a bottle.
If someone can correct some of his issues you potentially have a pretty good QB on your hands. Plus QBs typically get overdrafted...especially prospects like Logan Thomas.

By 70? I have a hard time believing that but I guess anything is possible. How many QB's go before him do you think?
Only way I'd want him is as a TE. I have 0 faith he pans out as a QB

Why should anybody? As an FSU fan, I watch a lot of ACC games. I never once saw him as a potential NFL QB. I don't get it...at all.

I thought this for the last two years too, then I started really studying the 2/3 tier QBs, and I can't see how someone would rank him below Savage or Garoppolo...or Mettenberger even. Logan is just as advanced as those guys and his upside is far higher.

He has an arm... but so does Vince Wilfork

No way is he as advanced as those 3, sure his arm is great, as is his size but he's a developmental guy at best and maybe a future TE.

All 4 of them are developmental guys to me, and all are far greater than 50/50 to bust...and yeah Logan very well may be a future TE but that shows how off the charts athletic he is that the league would consider him to be a good developmental TE. If the other three don't work out they're working at Walmart.

same here

I agree on Savage, Thomas has way better elite traits, but Garoppolo is a much better QB then Thomas, and Mettenberger is in another league as Thomas as far as QB, now if you dont like Mettenberger because he cant move much ok I get it, but to Logan's upside is higher as a QB your crazy.
He'll go Day 2 IMO. Someone will take a chance on him in the 3rd.

The 2 you mention are light years ahead (Which does not say much for Thomas, because I am not that high on JG), but yeah with Savage I liked him alot a few weeks ago but looking at him more it would be a crapshoot between him and Thomas as far as being a NFL starting qb.
Guy won't do anything in the NFL.
Fall in love with his size and athleticism. Doesn't make him a good QB. And he isn't even that good of a runner.

Yep

Not an FSU fan, but I got to see a number of ACC games as well. I can vouch this statement is 100% accurate

Double Yep. Thomas will be the next Denard Robinson. And I say that in the best possible way.
He'll be drafted by a team as a quasi-athlete. He'll be allowed to throw the ball around in practice, hell perhaps even a few snaps in an actual game, but like Denard they'll push him and really let him figure out for himself that there are only a handful of men in the world who can be a starting quarterback in the national football league, and that if he has a future here, it is in position change.
He is beyond terrible. I hope we'd stay far away.
