If not, here's the question:
With 2 weeks to go before Round 1 of the 2014 NFL Draft, if the Jaguars don't select Jadeveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, or Sammy Watkins, who do you think is the Jaguars most LIKELY selection with pick # 3? Of course you can provide who you would prefer the Jaguars to take with the pick. But the main thing that comes to mind with this question is what player do you think has the best chance to be selected by the Jaguars with pick # 3 if Clowney, Mack, and/ or Watkins aren't the selection?
At this time, my guess would be QB Johnny Manziel, with Blake Bortles being the 2nd most likely. I don't think the Jaguars will draft an Offensive Tackle near the top of Round 1 for the 2nd straight year. No other player jumps out for me as a realistic possibility, if the draft was tomorrow.
Note to one of the Moderators. If you can change the word ' there' to ' their' in the Subject Title, it certainly would be appreciated.
D6 I feel there is no way the 3 you mentioned will not be our pick but Manziel and Bortles would most likely be next. Maybe Barr? No OL or DL so unless we trade down I say we take Watkins. Atlanta looks like they are setting up a trade with Houston for Clowney.
They are just doing to many test and workouts with him.
Our offense has been and will continue to be our weakest side of the ball. Can't count on our QB or our outside receivers. I'd be peeved if we took Clowney or Bortles, but I'd be sick to my stomach if we drafted Matthews or Robinson. Manziel could help provide juice that our offense has so desperately lacked for years

Warjag, unless the Jaguars draft a QB, I basically feel the same way that they will take one of the ' Big 3' players. That's why the question came to mind, as it sure feels like it will come down to one of the 3 players.
I expressed on another MB earlier tonight that I believe the Falcons are the most likely team to trade up for Jadeveon Clowney. My gut feeling is the Texans want to trade down in the worst way.
I honestly think it's either one of the 3 you mentioned, or a tradeback. I'd be ok with either scenario.
My gut says it would be Bortles if those three are out of the picture, but I really think the Jags end up taking one of those guys.
D6 I think we will see a pre-draft trade between Atlanta-Houston any day now. My son who is a Falcon fan is besides himself and thinks Clowney is a bust.

Warjag, you could easily be correct regarding a trade in the near future involving those two teams. For the Falcons, the realistic choices are to trade up to draft Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack, or to stay at # 6 to hope that Mack falls to # 6 or to draft the best remaining Offensive Tackle. The Falcons must address both of their lines in a meaningful way before the regular season starts.
Regarding Clowney, IMO, the most likely outcome of his NFL career is to have a Mario Williams type of career. Basically making many players that very few players can make but too often not having the impact they are capable of.
Thanks to everyone who provided input on my question.
I think Teddy is their top rated QB, so if it's not one of Clowney/Mack/Watkins/trade then I think he would be the pick.
the player that gets paid to get the ball to players so they can score points.

Seems early for a center.

Agreed.
if its not one of those three, I'm predicting a trade.
If Clowney/Watkins/Mack are all gone I'm guessing will see a trade. Move back a couple spots and take Bridgewater or Manziel.

I'm pretty sure at least one of them will be available when we pick....at number 3.

Really? You think Teddy is there top rated QB? There's a shocker.
If they don't take one of the three players D6 mentioned, and they don't trade out of the 3rd pick, I think they'll take Manziel.

Three things, first they can't all be gone.
Second, the question is who might the Jags select instead of one of the three usual suspects.
Third, if you thought all three were gone and we were going to trade back and get a top QB, who the heck was the other team trading up to get?
