The deadline for teams to have in-house, pre-draft visits with prospects is Sunday. Each team is allowed 30 visits and through our reporting and others – NFL.com, National Football Post, etc., here’s an updated list of who the Jaguars have had in town:

1. Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville. The Jaguars also had an off-site visit with Bridgewater last week.

2. Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M.

3. Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State.

4. Zach Mettenberger, QB, LSU.

5. Kyle Van Noy, LB, BYU.

6. Stephen Tuitt, DL, Notre Dame.

7. Khalil Mack, LB, Buffalo.

8. Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA.

9. Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn.

10. Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida.

11. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois.

12. Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson.

13. Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M.

14. A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama.

15. Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina.

16. Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU.

17. Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana.

18. Carl Bradford, LB, Arizona State.

19. Walt Aikens, CB, Liberty.

20. Trevor Reilly, LB, Utah.

21. Luke Bowanko, C, Virginia.

22. Ken Bishop, DT, Northern Illinois.
I wanted to break this list out in terms of how many visits per position instead of just names. Not sure what this tells us, but I at least found it interesting.

Not sure about your QB numbers because there are seven QBs listed with seven visits, but I know the Jaguars met with Bridgewater at least twice.

All the numbers seem like pretty standard fare except for the QB. "7". I wonder how that would compare to some of the other teams.

I personally have always thought that that week were we brought "all the QBs in" was a lot of smokescreening. In other words, one or two of those guys we really liked, but we brought everybody else at the same time too so nobody in the media or on these boards could tell the difference. If 7-QBs wasn't smokescreening, then it would just mean that Jaguars have done their due-dilligence on QBs this year, perhaps better than any other team. And good for them.
I'd love to get Van Noy somehow.

It's also nice to see all those QB's. If Jax were to snag two of them I would be very happy.

Bowanko is very interesting. Out of all the centers we're looking at a guy that's projected to be an UDFA; and not even a priority UDFA according to most sites. I'm feeling a lot better about not taking a Center in my mock draft now.

Also agree that at least some of the QB visits are smokescreens.

Looking at the 1st round prospects that have visited, it tells me that we're only willing to trade down to about #9 or #10 overall, because after that all these guys visiting will be gone.

Jeremy Hill is a big bruising goalline back, the one thing missing from our current stable of RBs (if you believe Toby can be a premier guy). Might be tipping their hand as to what kind of back they want.

Surprised we're investing visits in multiple later round DTs given the emphasis we've given the position in free agency.

And no DEs after the first couple rounds.

Looks like we're expecting to go DE/OLB, QB, and WR first two days. Only early guy not fitting that category is Robinson.

I agree with your take on the number of QBs. The other thing that kind of jumped out at me is that of the non QB's outside of Van Noy - whom I really love as a player - , Hill, Bowanko, Bradford, Bishop, Reilly, and Aitkens they are all considered to be First Round selections.

Are they just trying to make sure that they hit on their First Round pick?

I think it has to do with establishing the value for every possible trade. They really want/expect to move down in the first round and therefore need to be very familiar with all of the top 10 prospects so they can figure how much each is worth in comparison to the others.

That's a pretty sharp take right there. Spot on.
I been waiting for this list, I wonder if we get those other 8 visits in

I didnt know we had Walt Aikens in I was hoping he would be a guy we eye in maybe the 3rd

Sorry Bullseye, I lost your post in the mix.

I don't really give that much credence to how many times the team has met with a given player else I would have listed all the time that they spent with Carr and Garoppolo at the Senior Bow. Just the fact that they met with the player is all that I thought was important.
I didn't realize we had Tuitt in. I'm still a huge fan of that kid. Would love to see him learn from Big Red.
No Tre Mason Sad

Seven quarterbacks means you don't have a single one in this draft.

Jeff Lageman needs to be fired.

Caldwell is not going to be the general manager much longer.

Indeed.

For the squirrel will not find this particular blind nut, nor will the matador slow jam with the blind shoemaker.

Gone indeed are the halcyon days of Gomez and Morticia for all is bleakness upon which is stared upon by the Colonel Manager who stares upon it.

I'm not 100% sure what you did there, but I like it.
I wanted to update the list based on the recent visit by Notre Dame LB P. Shembo. Does anyone know of other visits that aren't listed?
