Jason Garrett should have kept his mouth shut when he criticized Ezekiel Elliott for donating himself to the Salvation Army. The NFL agrees with Elliott the jump in a kettle is for a charitable cause, so he shouldn't be fined. In case you did not watch his TD run Sunday night . . .

Quote:Elliott's creative bit of celebratory expression has had the unintended effect of helping the less fortunate this holiday season. Darren Rovell, ESPN's omnipresent business reporter,

reported that
the Salvation Army raised $182,000 through online donations in the first 14 hours after Elliott's kettle jump. That's a 61 percent jump from Sunday into Monday last week.

So, basically more Christmas bonus money for the SA executives? Why don't other charities get recognition on SNF? Were they the highest bidder?

They probably were.
I never thought about that. The Salvation Army is a Christian organization and they did it during the Christmas season, so a holiday connection makes sense.

True. But they don't use the money they get in ways that I agree with so they're not my favorite charity by far.
The NFL decided not to fine Elliott.
