I think he goes first round..

39 is appropriate value for him, if he is still even there as stated above.

I'd rather have Kevin Norwood later in the draft.

If he was there at that point but I don't get the feeling he will be.

I agree. Two WRs period, whatever rounds, wouldn't be a bad idea. If this class is as deep as it appear at WR we need to take advantage of that and having 11 picks allows a little freedom on that. Plus you can't count Blackmon as anything at this point...this team needs at least one WR.

I wouldn't take him in the second. He's more of a possession receiver. He runs like his feet are caked in mud.

You can draft him at 39, he might not even be there at 39, no reason to trade

Exactly, imagine how fast he would be without his feet all caked in mud! Such a shame.

Look at him run. He doesn't play fast. He jogs a bunch of his routes and is slow footed. Matt Jones ran a sub 4.4.

This has been my new favorite pick for 39. Always thought we should go WR because the top 10 are all pretty good.
04-23-2014, 09:33 PM
I kinda see him going before we get to our second pick honestly. Maybe even in the 1st to someone like ther 9ers or something.
04-23-2014, 09:35 PM
How can we both him and mettenberger at 39?
04-23-2014, 09:43 PM
Elite WRs catch the ball with their hands at the furthest point from their body. He doesn't do that. He waits for the ball to come to him. 2nd round --- average NFL talent - Nothing Special.

If we take a QB in the 2nd, I really wouldn't mind trading our 3rd and one of the 4ths/5ths to move back into the 2nd and grab one of the second tier WRs if they fall a bit.
Lee, ODB, Adams, Latimer. Those are some good WRs.

I agree that he really doesn't look like he has "it".
Something just looks "off" about his game.
I don't know if its lack of polish or what, but when I watch that player nothing screams future good NFL receiver.
I'm more impressed with DeVante Adams and Jordan Matthews, tbh, and they are also projected to go around the same spot.

Matthews plays a lot faster than Latimer. Latimer jogs through a lot of plays and is a low effort guy. However, Matthews is no burner either. He's a bit of a long strider. Both are 4.4 guys - Matthews plays a little slower and Latimer plays a lot slower.
