Quote:The Steelers might tag Bell, but not with the exclusive tag attached. If for any reason they don't, I am all for signing him through free agency.
Running backs are easy to find. In fact up until the Gus era we always had good running back play.
Bell's been popped twice for drugs already. Pass.
Quote:And I don't see the cowboys line as elite. Murray has done well for the titans and Elliot would shine anywhere. My only concern would he be better then Ivory here? If not. Spending a whole lot of money. And if that is the case who gets the ax? Ivory or Yeldon?
So you didn't like the Jags drafting Ramsey.
You don't think the Cowboys line is elite. (If not then who is elite?)
You also don't know if Bell would be better than Ivory if he was here.....
Am I missing something or do you seem to be wrong a lot?
There's no way the Titans will part with Warmack. That offensive line is their bread and butter.
Dontari Poe (Not sure KC can keep him and Berry both)
Ronald Leary or Larry Warford
Menelik Watson
Jabaal Sheard

Warmack hasn't played all year.
I think unless we get an undeniably good HC, this team will not attract good free agents. There had been a lot of hype with this team, especially this past off season. We managed to get some good signings, on the basis of what the Jaguars were becoming. Well, the facade is over now. This team, along with its coaches, have been busted. Too many holes, regressions, etc. Who wants to come to JAX, who are now in yet another rebuild? We certainly aren't any sexier than last year.

A good HC and staff plus the $$$ can do wonders
A rebuild? Imo the team needs around 8 players but a rebuild...I disagree

Both Ivory and Yeldon should get the ax, regardless.
Quote:Realistic Offseason moves :
Coaching staff :
HC Kyle Shanahan
Re-sign :
CB Prince Amukamara
DT Tyson Alulu
DT Abry Jones
WR Bryan Walters
OG Patrick Omameh
Free agents :
G Ron Leary
SS Tony Jefferson
QB Blaine Gabbert
TE Jared Cook
I love the idea of getting Tony Jefferson, but give me Kevin Zeitler over Ron Leary and get me a pass rusher as well.

Yeah, ummm....
... you are either just posting some nonsense out of frustration or you are just not very smart about RB value.
Yeldon is on a rookie deal and still young enough to stick till preseason for evaluation.
Ivory ran behind a middling line last season and gained over 1000 yards in 15 games. This season he's been riddled with multiple injuries and stuck behind one of the worst run blocking lines in the league.
He will get another shot as well.

Yeldon is a hack. He always has been, he always will be. He's been evaluated enough. We already know what he is. Cheap or not, he offers nothing to this team, but a warm body. That's it. As for Ivory, what he did last year does not matter. He looks broken. He doesn't have the burst off the line or the vision he showed last year. Some running backs just plateau and fall off at a certain point in their career. I believe Ivory plateaued last season and he's now dropping off. It's time to get a feature back.
Imo Ivory is better than Yeldon
I'd like to see a combo of Ivory and Foreman

That's like saying mud taste better than feces.

You have an interesting level of comfort coming to very quick conclusions.
It would appear I'm infinitely more patient in my judgement than you are.
When healthy and given a little blocking Ivory hasn't been bad

I watched Yeldon play at Alabama as well. I didn't like him them, I like him even less now. I had him as the last rated RB on my board when he entered the NFL. I was furious that we passed on so many talented RB's and chose him. He always lacked field vision and ran up the backs of his O-Linemen, only to fall down on first contact. It's the same thing every year. How much more evaluation do you need? Nothing has changed.

Well, you made three observations of Yeldon. I agree with one of them. Kind-of agree with another a bit and disagree with one.
I don't "need" more evaluation. I just disagree with half of yours.
He'll likely get a chance in the 2017 preseason with an upgraded line. We'll see if he gets it together or not then. Cutting him prior to that would be foolish.

He wasn't my favourite pick but his vision was one of his best assets at Alabama.

If you recall, who were the top 3 or 4 RBs on your 2015 Draft list?
I'm not criticizing your assessment of T.J. Yeldon. I'm interested though in how people that follow the draft process closely rate players.
