For some reason I think the Jags should look into signing Richie Incognito if he isnt already signed to a team. I think the jags O-line needs someone to bring that "mean streak" to the Line and i think Incognito is the player for that. Since they couldnt get the deal with Alex Mack for $42.5 Million, why not? They should be able to sign him for 1/4 that deal or maybe im wrong about the figures but still, I think they should atleast look into it.
Incognito will be lucky to get vet minimum on a one-year deal, if he returns to the NFL at all. I think that he was unfairly thrown under the bus by the Wells report, especially given the content of the text messages that were released, but the dude's toxic at this point. Ted Wells labeled him as an insecure, homophobic, violent-tempered bully. I'm not sure that any team would want to invite the PR disaster that signing him could cause.
Edit: Check that. He's not good enough to justify the PR disaster that signing him would cause at three.

very much understood. However, given the Jags o-line history, i dont know about the insecure homophobic part, but a violent-tempered bully is just wht the jags need at this point. I honestly rarely seen anyone get in on his side on that dolphins o-line, of course you will not win ever battle but hands down the guy is a GAMER!
I'm pretty sure Incognito isn't on their radar.
This team doesn't want or need that kind of a distraction.
PR is going to keep him out of the league. He's more talented than a lot of guys lining up as starting guards in the NFL, but any team that signs him is opening itself up to an onslaught from fans, media, anti-bullying groups, etc. Given how (relatively speaking) easy it is to find decent starters at guard, and given the NFL's current "Nice and Friendly League" positioning, I'm not sure he'll find a team willing to bear that.
Sure hope he does, though. He's got a Kyle Turley streak to him, and one of my favorite NFL moments ever was the play where Turley ripped Damien Richardson's helmet off (and looked like he was trying for the whole head) and lobbed it downfield in retaliation for Richardson trying to injure the Saints' QB.
The bad PR would really upset the good vibe surrounding this team.
Theres no way the Jags bring in Incognito. He doesn't represent Gus' nor David's vision of the type of player they want on this roster/ team.
Are you serious? Richie has been awful the past few seasons. He's isn't a tough guy at all.
I'd take a flyer on him if he's available. RG anyone?
The Jags are looking for publicity, but good publicity.. This team really doesn't need a loose cannon with huge question marks hanging over his head as opposed to attitude.
I just can't see Richie Incognito guzzling any Gus Juice. He's just too homophobic to even say he's "drinking Gus Juice."
He's going to remain as his last name implies.
Maybe we should draft Michael Sam too.
If I remember correctly, Incognito isn't even allowed to sign with a team until he passes some kind of mental health evaluation.
Only if Guy Whimper comes to the team, and draft HaHa lets have only funny naming guys.
Incognito doesn't fit the scheme we use.
He's a mauler with concrete feet.
We need linemen with twinkle toes like Fred Flintstone that are light on their feet and can pull on sweeps, stretch plays and screens.
