This idea of moving the draft back to May is a terrible idea. It's been nearly two months since free agency kicked off and it's died down considerably.

This non-stop updating of mock drafts, pro days, and private workouts seems endless yet we're STILL 18 days away from the start of the draft. I think the NFL pushed it back too far and this is the perfect time for the draft to take place. Why mess up a good thing? The draft taking place in April was a tradition and a perfect time for it.

I think there's just too much time now and the hype is dying down, not increasing leading up to the draft.

What do you guys think?
I HATE IT!!!!  Should not have moved it.

Over-analysis becomes "Teddy Bridgewater is a 4th round talent."

To quote Tyson, "It's ludiquiss."

HAHAHAHA. This.
King Roger would disagree.

It was a horrible idea but most are from Goodell.

The draft needs to go back to April 20 - ish. It just fits better.

Pretty soon it'll be pushed back to a week before preseason starts.

....don't give that clown Goodell any ideas.

Won't be so bad when the 6 preseason and 26 game regular season means that preseason starts July 4th weekend. Especially with the Super Memorial Day Weekend Bowl happening just a month before.
It makes more money and publicity for the NFL so its not gonna change.
I could see it move to three weeks long. first weekend...first round

Next weekend round 2-3....

Next weekend rounds 4-7
I think if it remains in May (which it probably will), the casual fan will ignore the draft hype until a week or so before the draft. This is the first year it's in May so we're all used to following the pre-draft process from the Combine forward. However, I could see people ignoring events in March and April and not even really following it until the beginning of May.
If there was some kind of added event that took place in April, maybe it would help, but yeah this sucks.
