Quote:It isnt a non-story, because many media outlets have reported on it including the NFL.com. It is a story, and Doss isnt good enough.
No, all that proves is it's a slow media day. Otherwise, it's a non story. No charges. Nothing to see here.
It's the equivalent of being pulled over for speeding and being let off with a warning. Alert the media!

Oh god, he was
speeding? I bet he was also drunk, high, and probably had his car filled with assault weapons and dead bodies. He hasn't earned the benefit of a doubt. Release him now!
Wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't also caught him
jaywalking.

You forgot the part about having illegal alien prostitutes and felonious amounts of drugs in the car.
According to the account I read, it sounds like this guy has self-control issues. Sure, I want a contributor on the field, but not some punk who thinks he rules the world.

So he's a one-trick pony. What would he provide to this team as a special teams player overall and as a WR? Ace Sanders might have a low average, but he presents a heck of a lot of potential as our slot WR, and I know his average can still go up as a return man. Looks like Doss didn't return kicks because of Jacoby Jones, but if he can present us with the ability to return kicks AND punts then he's not camp fodder. This draft will be loaded with potential return guys who will also provide ability at RB or WR.

OK. Just pointing out that he's a good punt returner. Better than you seemed to have realized previously. That's all.
I'm not making some big pro-Doss argument. Just saying he likely holds the pole position in the training camp return game competition.
He does have some experience returning kicks - so I'm sure they'll at least take a look at him there as well. That said - it wouldn't shock me to see him fizzle by preseason just like Massaquoi last season.

I'm actually intrigued to see what Sullivan could do with Doss. He's only 24.

Bruh, I wasn't giving attitude or calling you names. Just a nice little discussion. If he's only 24, he has just as much room to grow as Ace or Brown. Thing is, he sounds similar to Ace and Brown. The arrest, no matter how insignificant, will hurt him come training camp... Unless he can be our KR/PR... Which would be nice. Got pretty tired of Todman returning kicks last season and it would allow Ace to focus on becoming a pure WR.

All good. I must have projected a little "attitude." My bad. No worries and always happy to talk Jaguars football. B)
I would also like to see if Ace can use his shiftiness more effectively than he did in his rookie year as a PR. I still hold out hope he could be very good in that role.
I guess it depends largely on how the WR depth chart shakes out and how much Caldwell/Bradley want to "protect" Sanders.
Cut him. He is obviously a suspension waiting to happen. Hopefully the league investigates this further and he cant continue down the road of addiction. My prayers are with his family but he should be cut. Why was he out of his house? Party in the club? Im disgusted by his off field issues........ im kidding. who cares about our #7 wr and his non arrest
Quote:He was camp fodder anyways
The way Caldwell talked, Doss is a lock to make the roster as a core Special Teams player....and get a few reps at WR when possible.

I'm SICK of your attitude!
