Quote:So Gabbert would have been successful in the NFL if he had started in 2 more games?

He could of had an epiphany on pocket ores near in those 2 games.

But the reason I'm assuming they chose 27. Is because there is 12 regular season games, with 1 post season, ie the number 27 represents 3 seasons as opposed to 2.

Since adding two more games would mean staying in school another year, yes.  Anything's possible.

Perhaps he struggled a little, learned a little... dropped back to a second, third round pick as a result, then was groomed as a backup rather than being forced into a starting role by a lame duck head coach.

Who knows what could have changed.
Also, I think the 60% might need to be adjusted upward to account for the general increase in passing numbers across the board. Especially in spread offenses.

Any rule predicated on statistics is crap.

What a revelation...
Yet it has good accuracies with predicting busts.

Right up there with "All generalities are wrong," "Great minds think alike," and "[RANDOM TREND] goes in cycles," as meaningless tripe disguised as wisdom.
