It wouldn't take much to get the IP address, especially if law enforcement is involved.

I'm a moderator and crisis councilor on a Suicide Prevention Website, I can pull up your IP and approx location from the minute you log in to the minute you log out. All email Messages have a header on them that will have your IP and from what account it was sent. You just need to know how to access them

I know how to get an IP. All I said was how would AAL get that from a tweet.

All Devices connected to the internet have a Uniform Resource Locator embedded in them, doesn't matter if it comes from a tweet, an email or whatever it has to come from a computer, smartphone or something else, but once you're connected to the internet, that URL shows up

My question is more how AAL would have gotten a Twitter users' IP address. Also surprised that they replied directly to her.

You think a company, such as an airline, that faces threats everyday (why else have the TSA) wouldn't have the means to get the IP?

She claimed to be a girl living in the Netherlands, adding: "I'm just a fangirl pls I don't have evil thoughts and plus I'm a white girl," according to the <i>Daily News</i>.
