Point is, unlike the other teams mentioned we can have black in our uniforms.. it makes sense.

A team's primary color is not based on the color of their team name. Why don't the Lions wear yellow, the Eagles brown and white and the Dolphins gray? The only teams with colors directly linked to their names I can think of are the Browns, Patriots, Bengals and depending on your point of the Redskins.
You can get black bears, black horses, cardinals have some black on them, stealth bombers are black, if you want to get philosophical, I dont see why saints, giants, patriots and titans can't be black. The Jaguars have been teal since day one, there is no reason other than the money men figure it will sell more jerseys for us to wear black, which is the exact same reason every other team which does not traditionally wear black wears black.

Quote:It kind of takes away the high we were on. I have to look at those things all year. I know it is just a uniform and logo and it shouldn't matter that much but for some reason it does.
It does matter. Uniforms are just as much as part of tradition, just like the logo, the Warchant, etc.
Pretty soon FSU will probably do away with the Warchant because they'll deem it "outdated."

No if we are actually being honest, and not simply being "teal adoring weirdos" we will admit that a black jersey actually 100% belongs on the Jaguars as its one of their 3 official colors and always has been or at least has been since the lawsuit threat stemming from the previous logo.
As for Miami, though, their new uniforms have zero reason to add a black one. Its never been one of their official colors.

If we are making a set of arbitrary rules as to who can wear black, having black as a secondary color is a crap justification.
Lets be honest, every team who has changed to black has done so because it sells. Why should Miami miss out?

Arbitrary rules??....lol, no, its simply stating a fact. Since the Jags played their very first game, black has been one of their official colors.
Black has never, ever been part of the official color scheme of the Hurricanes. or Detroit in the NFL for that matter.....neither of those 2 teams are justified having a black jersey.

Black has been part of the Lions color scheme for a solid 10 years...

If there are no rules, there is nothing to justify. Black jerseys all round baby.

Black is not a color. Complaining about teams wearing black is like complaining about teams wearing white. Everybody gets to wear black and white.
Also, why does miami have the stupid bird as their mascot? I never got that.
