Now that Alex Mack is no longer in the picture here is my new mock draft, based on needs/BAP, IMO:
I am assuming the first 2 picks are Clowney (Texans) and then Watkins (Rams)
1) Jake Matthews OT - OMG NO!!!!! I know people will hate this mock, but in all honestly out side of QB, o-line is where we have the biggest need. Our Qbs were sacked 50 times last year. Most of Matthews college experience comes from playing at RT so IMO he is not only one of the best O-line in the draft, but also the best RT by far.
2) Travis Swanson C - By now most of you all have stopped reading. But like I said we have glaring needs on the O-line. Travis has 1st round talent and would be a great pick up and immediate starter on our O-line. If Manziel or Bridgewater falls into the teens I could also see us trying to trade back into the first to grab a QB, but for this mock I am doing no trades.
3) Jordan Tripp OLB - Honestly, I don't think any linebacker in the draft outside of Mack fits our defensive scheme better.
4) Dion Bailey FS - Note quite Earl Thomas complete package, but he is great in coverage and rarely out of position when reading the field.
4) Aaron Murray QB - To me he is the best pure passer in this draft. And though he might be there in the 5th I think he grades out much higher than anyone else left on our board.
5) Walt Aikens CB - Good press corner prospect.
5) TJ Jones WR - Prospect who has good - great route running ability, and reliable hands.
5) Brent Urban DT - Prospect to develop behind Red Bryant.
6) Wesley Johnson OG - Zone blocking Guard
6) Cody Hoffman WR - Big Target.
7) Tre Burton TE - Versatile TE prospect that has natural hands and good route running ability. However, probably needs to bulk up and refine blocking technique. Could be a sleeper at TE.
