Jack Lummus was a HB for the Giants and got killed at Iwo Jima, earning the Medal of Honor. Bob Kelsu was a lineman for the Bills who was killed in Vietnam. Rocky Bleier lost part of his foot in Vietnam, then came back and won 4 Super Bowls with the Steelers. Mike Anderson ran for 1400 yards and won offensive rookie of the year with Denver after serving 4 years in the Corps. Ahmard Hall played 5 seasons for the tacks after serving 4 years in the Corps.



Then of course, Ted Williams is the greatest hitter ever who lost almost 4 full years of his career flying fighter missions for the Marine Corps in WWII and Korea.

They are scattered through history, but they are there. Tillman and Bleier are rare because they left at the peaks of their careers. Bleier was drafted but volunteered for Vietnam.


Williams was rare because he VOLUNTEERED to fly. He was scheduled to play baseball in the Corps as part of a travelling team

IF we ever get the bum Kaepernick I will not watch a single game and I hope DC gets fired right after. Not only does he completely suck horse [BLEEP] but he disrespects this country completely 

I do not care what someone hopes.  All i care about is the jags right the ship.  And if needs that punk kap to do it.  Then so be it. If needs fish head to coach so be it. Personal feelings don't matter.
