You're right.

In the science that is the NFL Draft, Mr Jaggy is a regular Stephen Hawking.
Quote:If you aren't overly big, fast, and athletic like Moncrief or Robinson...at least have great hands and body control like Landry. Lee doesn't have a single above average trait except maaaaybe elusiveness, and he has terrible hands.

The problem is, you often leave out the "in my opinion"....  you assert things over and over again in such a matter-of-factly tone that it gets pretty old to a lot of people.

Even the "experts" that get paid for their opinions are laughable to most people, much less some guy on a message board.
Out of those guys I take Jordan Matthews

Semi Related to this thread: Robinson dropped some weight down to 208 from 220 at the combine (his listed weight at PSU was 210) and improved his workout numbers at his pro day.

His 40 improved from a 4.6 at the combine down to as low as 4.47 at his pro day.

Improved his vertical from 39 to 42.

Quote:Every WR mentioned in this thread (even Landry) is better than Marqise Lee.
Care to explain how you came to that ridiculous conclusion?

Edit I saw your other post and I disagree, Lee will be the best WR from this draft, at least out the the big name guys, the guy had a injury riddled  year and horrible QB play and coaches get fired during the year and all of a sudden people act like he is not as good any more.

Yeah I saw that too, extremely impressive specimen he is. Would be quite happy with him at 39...if he's still there which is certainly no guarantee.

I mostly did a few posts up...for his size (or lack thereof) he just needs to stand out or show where he fits in some other way like Beckham, Cooks, Landry, Ellington etc. do...and he just doesn't. He isn't very fast, he has average explosive traits, he was often hurt, he is not a consistently good route runner, and he has just about the worst drop % in this class.

The only possible plus trait that I see him having is short area quickness/elusiveness, if he has the ball in his hands in space he is dangerous.

To me he is a fringe top 10 WR, and I wouldn't be considering him whatsoever if he was available at 39.

EDIT: Yes I should say this lackluster evaluation was surprising to me when I sat down and did my WR studies too. I expected him to challenge for the #1 WR in this class coming into the year like everyone else, but he just didn't prove up to the task. So many other guys with equal or better athleticism and much better size and/or hands to be had in this draft.

I love Moncrief. I don't have a problem putting him down as the 3rd best WR behind Watkins and Evans.

First of all, he has terrific physical traits at 6'2" 221, 4.40 40, and 39" vert. Physically speaking, he's a Jimmy Smith clone.

He is a legit threat from anywhere on the field. Youtube cut-ups show him taking hitches and post patterns the distance after making a defender miss and out-running the others. He's also adept at making plays down the field, not only catching sideline routes in stride over the shoulder, but also going up and out-muscleing defenders for 50/50 lobs. He might need some work on the intricacies of route-running, but he might be the best combination of height-weight-speed in this draft, while coupling his physical tools with innate receiving skills.

I would love Marqise Lee in the second. He plays much faster than his timed speed because of his natural receiving instincts and excellent ball tracking ability.

Sadly I doubt he makes it past Philly's first round pick.
My second round list has not changed in a month

1.Robinson

2.Matthews

i would really like bridge in the first and Adams in the second
There will be a ton of quality players at several positions available to us with our second round pick that should have first round grades, including WR.

IMO, we'd really have to screw it up good to not have success with that pick.

Completely agree.  He may not even be there with our second if a "run" starts at WR.  Though selfishly, I'd like to see him slide as far as possible to give us a chance in the second or third.  Don't expect that to happen, though.
