I like the fact that our coach is getting positive press.  As a fan, I hope all the positive talk leads to good things on the field.  We saw improvement as the season progressed last year, and I expect to see that trend continue as we add more talent to the roster for him to work with.  Gus has the potential to be a very good coach in this league.  His style is contrary to what you see among other franchises. 

 

I like the fact that they decided to go with someone fresh when they hired him, and not snap up some retread who was cast off by another team.  We did the same thing with Coughlin, and I could see Gus having similar success here if he and Caldwell can continue to build a solid roster.

It starts with the owner & fans, you have to have an owner that wants his franchise to succeed / win along with fans that support the process in order to remain profitable investment.  Then the owner must select the best GM unless he does it himself that best reflects his intrests and character in the franchise.  That GM will pick a great staff of coaches and players to win.  Its funny how when a team does great or bad its always the QB & HC that get the most lime light.

Yep. I have a bunch of friends who are Eagles fans and they love Gus. They wanted him as head coach before they hired Chip.

Well, there's one Eagles fan on this board who had Chip Kelly ranked higher on his coaching draft board.  Gus was ranked #6.
