Jadeavon Clowney Sammy Watkins Teddy Bridgewater Kalil Mack are the top 4 in order as of today..

Watkins would be an instant upgrade if Clowney's gone at 1 or 2..

I think the Blackmon and Shorts era might be in jeopardy..

I still really REALLY like Clowney. And watching some of Watkins, no-one can deny that he is a game-changer. I can't remember exactly which game it was that I watched of his, but was totally  blown away every time he touched the ball, especially his after-the-catch yards. Has "NFL talent" written all over him. But does it seem weird to anyone else to take a WR at #3, if some of those other guys you named in your OP are still there? I dunno, maybe I'm thinking about it wrong and maybe you can win me over. Cause I do want Watkins, but, are the Jaguars "too high in the draft" to select him(as weird as that sounds I know).

i do think they are that high on watkins.. we cant go into 2014 trusting blackmon.. he still needs to play a full season for me to have faith.. i think hes a phenominal athlete gifted player.. hes doing good so far keep it up hell only believe in himself more.. itll pay really good dividends for him and the team.. now to shorts he cant stay healthy remins me of miles austin.. so thats why i think we get watkins.. blackmon cant trust (for now) shorts is injured alot ext..

I still remember the first time I actually got to see Watkins(I admittedly watched more SEC than ACC last year). Had heard a lil about him here and there, but I was watching more for Boyd than him. But then just a few passes to him in the game, and the speed, etc, and I dunno, you could just tell this guy was a different/higher level of athlete. He was/is clearly an NFL talent playing against college players. I personally like him a lot, and your assessment of our WR-core actually made me think. Like makes me think Watkins at #3 could possibly be not just a want or a "nice pickup" in the draft, but a very possible if not justifiable "need" for the JAguars. Things that make you go hmmmmm...
