I mean, it has to be...

Its such a stupid assertion it just has to be trolling.

Bridgewater has ZERO shot to fall to the 2nd round.

Maybe not out of the first but he could be in for a serious draft day slide.

If Aaron Rodgers can fall to #24 (who many have compared Teddy to) and if Brees can fall to the top of the 2nd round (who was infinitely better than Teddy as a pro prospect), then there is definitely a chance.
I don't know if you can compare Teddy to Aaron. Unfortunately for Teddy, if he does get drafted late in the first round, unlike Aaron, he probably won't have the luxury of getting to sit behind a hall of fame QB for three years prior to taking the starting job. That's not to say that Teddy can't succeed. But, I think those first few years in GB with Aaron sitting did them a huge favor and it clearly paid off. Whereas, had he been thrusted into the spotlight as soon as he got there, he could have ended up as a bust.

I think he would certainly be a good QB for the Bengals. I could see him giving Dalton a run for his money. From a pure physical and athletic ability standpoint, and even really arm mechanics and release, he might be better than Andy. I just don't know if the Bengals are going to be a play-off team again this year. I really think coach Zimmer and Gruden had a lot to do with that team's success, and I think Marvin Lewis is personally overrated and he should have been let go along time ago from that team. It's possible they collapse this season and revert back to their old form.

Here's an article for people completely clueless as to why the Texans possibly favor Bortles after signing Fitzmagic.

6th for Shaub, 6th for Gabbert...

Caldwell is a genius.

Actually its nothing like that at all.

Gabbert is 24 & cheap, Schaub is old, brittle and expensive. (per his current contract)

Gabbert is not THAT cheap...

Also, isn't it funny how in this situation, you cite Matt Schaub's contract as one of the reasons his trade value isn't very high?

Wasn't I saying the same thing about Eugene Monroe?  The CONTRACT is one of the most important aspects when determining trade value.  Monroe had 7 games left on his, which is why we "only" got a 4th and 5th.

The same player that had 1 year and 7 games left on his contract would have warranted at least a 2nd IMO.
I always liked Schaub, and thought the Jags should have made a play for him when Atlanta was dangling him out there.  It turns out it is a good thing they didn't because he proved to be fairly fragile, but, if he can stay healthy, he is capable of putting up decent numbers.  Unfortunately, he's going to Oakland, where good and mediocre QBs go to disappear.

One thing for sure, Oakland is secure at quarterback and they didn't take $chaub off the Texans' hands for something as simple as a sixth round pick. A trade up for Clowney? Maybe? Maybe not?

The top offensive tackles in this draft are irresistible. Any team is crazy to not accept this fact. Oakland and many, many others wish they could get their hands on Matthews or Robinson. As flaky as Oakland has always been, Taylor Lewan is just the kind of guy to fit right in with the Radiers' mystique.

Based on Matt Schaub not having a future with Houston,  this is a great trade for the Texans.  They get a high 6th Round pick for Schaub and clear his base salary off the salary cap books.

JC loves them big linemen.

I've got a feeling Oakland is going after Sammy Watkins. Maybe the Jags trade back and grab a couple more picks?

Oakland is paying $8M plus incentives. Still about 4M too much.
