His pro-day was really weird. The kid wore a glove his entire collegiate career, and then with all these coaches and cameras in his face, he doesn't. Am curious of the opinion of some who know Teddy better than I do, will the gloves come off in the pros?

I ask because I saw this quote from Teddy after the pro-day, about the "heat in Florida"(an allusion to his glove hand getting sweaty perhaps?)

Quote:“Well, when I was training down in Florida you know its 80 degree weather, sunny every day,” Bridgewater said.  “So I was out there throwing without the glove and just letting it rip, so I felt confident coming into this process, coming today that I trained without the glove so I could throw on Pro Day without the glove. So that was the biggest thing that led to that decision.”

It doesn't really matter either way, if he can still throw the pigskin, but I'm just curious to hear from those who know Bridgewater better than i do. With Jacksonville being one of those teams that usually play in that '80 degree weather', was his pro-day a sign that Teddy is losing the gloves for good? And if so, why'd he wear them in college? And if no, why not wear them at the pro-day?

Just curious on your thoughts...

I did find it a bit odd. I thought he was going to wear gloves regardless the temp. Also I heard that he was switching up his foot technique and release before his Pro Day...doesn't make sense

He violated Sun Tzu's rule:

A great soldier ALWAYS fights the battle on his terms

I won't be surprised if he wanted to prove he can throw without the glove in front of teams.

Thats foolish, you have won games and bowl games while wearing the glove. WEAR THE GLOVE.

I bet he wears this one..

His Pro Day pretty much showed he'll have to wear them.  It's not a choice, it's a necessity.

what about when the temp is 80+

Then he needs to have a glove engineered that has little fans installed in them.  Problem solved.

His excuse was pretty lame.  Sounded like he was completely unprepared for the question, and just pulled a really bad answer out of thin air.  Otherwise, that's a sad answer if that's what he'd had prepared to say well ahead of time.
I think his hands are a bit small. But, that's why he wears the glove. It's really not that big of a deal, considering QB's with bigger hands wear a glove on their throwing hand also. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady occasionally, and more in recent years have started wearing a throwing glove. I don't think it's a problem.
