According to a report on NFL.com, he is set to be cut. Any Chicago fans on here have knowledge on this guy? Would he be worth adding to the Training Camp roster?

Noe.

He is just a guy. Not worth bringing in as he is descending in skill and his cap right now isn't better than Mike Browns

No. Mike Brown>>>>>Bennett
Wait... We have Chicago fans here?
I have a Bears fan in my family so I keep up with the team a bit and I've been making fun of Bennett for years. I pretty much agree with Basshunter -- he's on the decline and (was) pretty much the same guy as Mike Brown.
The comments are in line with the perception that I had of him. He seemed like a player that wasn't going to really 'wow' you at any given point.

Best of luck to him.

No, EB is just another slow possesion receiver that was never consistent despite playing with a decent QB in Jay Cutler, the Jaguars need an infusion of young physical talent at the WR position.
In watching Earl Bennett as an opposition NFC North player,  my impression of him over the years has been he's a reliable target to help move the chains.  Bennett had a much bigger role with the Bears before they added Brandon Marshall in a trade and Alston Jeffrey emerged as a big time WR to compliment Marshall.    Jay Cutler and Bennett had good football chemistry,  which isn't surprising since they played together at Vanderbilt.

At the right price,  I think Earl Bennett would be a good addition for a team that can use a WR that's not flashy but efficient.
