What If we take Clowney at 3 and Ford in the 2nd round. Give me your Opinions people.

That would be amazing, but Dee Ford won't be there when we pick in the second round.

Having both of those players would be GREAT! Kinda

 

The problem is using 1st and 2nd round pics on them would mean we are missing out on major talent. 

 

Not that those two players are not worth it but they would not get enough snaps and therefore would not be as helpful as one pick being someone of equal talent at another position.

 

Also they will need a while to adapt to the speed & physicality of the NFL. Having those two learning and adapting at the same time would diminish their immediate impact.

While we're at it lets draft pass rushers with every one of our picks in the draft.

And a C and a RG.  In fact, I would allege that we have a QB already, but we have no one at C and RG.  

They would be nice to have together, but not at the cost of picking up at least a 2nd round QB talent.

We better get one hell of an oline and have the best defense in the NFL if we're really counting on Chad Henne winning us games this year..

Not happening, but if it does our offense will struggle to pass the 50.

Yeah I don't see that happening. I feel that our draft may include a couple of WRs within the first 5 picks because of how talented that group is this year.

I feel both are going to be good/great but we just have to many other needs to fill. Not to mention we now have some real depth at that position after free agency.

If Clowney is available at 3 and we don't take him, we'd be making a massive mistake IMO.

I'm fine with one or the other just not both. To many other needs in my opinion.

Clowney and Ford the next Harvey and Groves?

 

Maybe.

Take Clowney in the 1st but with our DL basically set in March, Babin would most likely be cut to fit in Clowney then you would most likely cut another if you wanna add Ford as well.

 

I would prefer a Clowney/OLB/OG combo.

Clowney and Sua'Filo/Yankey/Gabe Jackson

 

^the above give us more impact in my eyes.

We somewhat stocked up on defense (DL) so far in FA. I'd like to see a QB taken early to start this learning curve sort of speaking. It'll be nice to continue have another Bridge w/flowing Water in Jax. If not Clowney will be atop of my wish list along w/interior linemen. We now have the leadership to steer him (Clowney) in the right direction if he veers off. Also I'd Love to be able to select BAP regardless of position...

If Clowney is there, take him quick and run. Otherwise, we need to build this offense again. First, get Watkins, then QB, then RB, the rest of the 8 picks devoted equally between OL and defense. Then next year, with a good draft and FA period, we should be looking at playoffs once again.

That would be stupid as there are many other holes on the roster. Dave has said he mixes need with BPA. I would bet we take a different position for the first 3 picks.
