One year  --  3.5 mil

At that price, why the hell didn't we try? I'd take Nicks at 5 MIL for a one year "prove it" kinda deal. He's been a 1000 yard receiver already and he's like 26. The Colts might have just got themselves a steal, while we piddle over trying to get tiny Sanders in here instead.

I guess with so few draft picks, they had to do something.

Seems like he's not a Bradley/Caldwell culture fit.  They'll draft a bigger receiver and then you can quit whining about how tiny everyone is.

Or you could stop now.  No one would mind.

We all know that Blackmon's suspension left a void that needs to be addressed. That shouldn't dissuade Caldwell from looking at other receivers who could be valuable in other ways. Especially when they run a 4.4 - 40.
I'm sure with this "Prove-It" deal he would prefer to be with Luck vs. Henne.

Jaguars could have offered a better deal and he still take Indy deal because he wants to look good this year too so he can sign big money next year.

A one year rental.  Not a wise choice when you have so few draft picks.  Certainly not a long term solution (which is what they needed.)

Hasselbeck may get his share of snaps if they don't shore up that line.

But then, with so few picks, they could go OL with the second rounder.  That'd be fine.  Leave the good young WRs on the table.  Better hope that rental makes it a full season.

OK armchair GM, I'll break it down for you. The Colts have Luck, the Jags have Henne. If you're a WR entering your prime and want to prove you're worth a larger contract, which team are you signing with on the one-year deal?
This favors Nicks. One year with Luck followed by a nice payday if he can stay healthy
