The backup LB from Tampa.

Dang .... I think reality kicked in.....  if Gus can make a playoff team out of this he should get coach of the year.

  • Toby Gerhart. New Starting Rb?
  • Zane Beadles. New Starting Left Guard!
  • Ziggy Hood. 3 Tech Defensive tackle!
  • Big Red Bryant. Our New Starting LE!
  • Chris Clemons. Our New starting Leo?
  • Dakota Watson. Will compete at Sam Lb!

I have seen you post this a few times to be funny I guess.

But Watson was a starter for Tampa at the end of the season. He's also a great fit in this defense as a SAM linebacker. He has some natural pass rush ability. I think he could surprise some people.

best post of the thread...

I almost missed it... until...

White Power, Running Back.

Laughing
Red Bryant is my favorite so far
Clemons probably.  Maybe Zane Beadles if he can play to the level expected of him.

Most worried about the Ziggy signing.  The rest however seem like decent to good additions.  Ziggy could be too, but he might not be either.  And he's the one I'd most worry about.

I think Dekoda Watson will be this year's SenDerrick Marks.

Would not bother me at all. We could use disruptive LBs (other that Poz) with our growing defensive line eating up blocks.
Gerhart, I like not having an overpaid RB
I think all of the signings have been solid. I voted for the Clemons pick-up, though. We haven't had a good pass-rusher in a while and he could be that guy, until we are able to develop somebody younger.

TO-BEE! TO-BEE! TO-BEE!

Either Toby or Big Red.

We added a Toby, A Ziggy, a Zane, a Dekoda, and is that guy's name really "Red"?

I loled way harder than I should have.

Perhaps thats why they cut Uche, only white guys would be prepared to block for him.
I really like the Toby Gerhart signing. But best additions are the two ex-Seahawks. They're both winners and that will rub off on the rest of the team.
For this season Chris Clemons. In 3 years Zane Beatles.
I'll take Ziggy, simply because nobody else is jocking the guy, and if he explodes, I can rub everyone's nose in it. Tongue
Has there ever been another Toby in the nfl?

Same philosophy I used when I voted Corrine Brown for President.

Yeah, but I like my chances better than I do yours. Tongue

Or not.... Sad

The late Toby Caston comes to mind immediately.   Caston was a LB with the Lions in the 1990's.   Prior to signing with the Lions,  he was with the old Houston Oilers for several seasons.  Caston was a backup LB but a heck of a Special Teams player.   Sadly,  he was killed in an auto accident in 1994,  less than a year after his final NFL season.
