He made some nice throws, especially a couple of those deep outs, but it really doesn't seem like he drives the ball very well. Passes sort of of lack zip.
Plus he has a really weird throwing motion. Looks like he's pushing the ball.
Looking at that video, He's not very accurate. Multiple missed passes against air. Smith blows chunks.
I'll give him this.
His movement in the pocket is exceptional.
It's like he has eyes in the back of his head.
Beware of Wyoming prospects. Remember Prosinki, ran a 4.3 in his pro day. Terrible safey in the pros.

He does kind of have that Phillip Rivers motion doesn't he? He sets the ball onto his shoulder and releases from there. I wonder if it's going to be an issue for him.

If the Jags draft a QB in 1 or 2 and this guy's sitting there in 5, why not? We've got so many mid/late-round selections that we can afford to gamble on a prospect who's more about athleticism than polish.
