More weapons for Chip.
Should be a good fit for him. But their defense is still an issue.
Any idea what they gave up?
WOW all Philly gave up was a fifth round pick!

He was not expected to fetch much more than that
His numbers have been on the decline but he should perform in that offense.
that trade makes no sense to me. McCoy is already a dynamic playmaker. Sproles is getting older. Why take away from McCoy right now? Could just draft a guy like deanthony Thomas later in the draft.

Just saw that Sproles is in a contract year also

He's 31 this year....and declining, what did you expect they'd have to be giving up for Sproles?
They were even considering releasing him prior to this.
Interesting though....."all Philly had to give up was a 5th rounder"...
Questionable move for Philly. 30+ RB on the decline? $3.5 million, no thanks.
They probably could have held onto their pick after he was cut as all indicators show was the next step. Questionable indeed.
I scratched my head at this one, immediately thinking of Mccoy. Mccoy does everything that Sproles would do, but much better... must just be for a speller, but that's an expensive one.
I think this says more about Bryce Brown than it does about McCoy.

I told y'all he was available....
Not sure we'd go after him now though, after Gerhart.

I'm surprised they gave up that much for an aging back who was about to be released.
