Quote:There was no need to mention Michigan's injuries in the article because ESPN did that for us during the broadcast.
ESPN over exaggerated the Peppers injury way too much, yes. If the article wanted to fairly portray the injury situation, however, they would have touched on Clark (Michigan's starting CB) and Newsome (Michigan's starting LT) being out.
The article didn't have to stoop to ESPN level and ignore key injuries from one of the teams, but they did because that's how fluff pieces work.
I mean, the title of the article literally says that FSU had "far more" injuries. It looks like you guys were missing starters at 4 positions (Safety, Safety, WR, OG). So were we (CB, LB, LT, TE). "Far more"..... huh? Weird terminology.
Good game. All teams have injuries.
Hail to the victors....

Dear god, the better team won, just like Clemson over Ohio State.
Neither Michigan nor FSU belonged in the playoffs. It was an even matchup and FSU proved to be the better of the two. Better luck next year.

I don't think anyone argued that FSU belonged in the playoff.

I respectfully disagree. If Michigan isn't hosed in the OSU game, they make the playoffs, and (I think) put up a better fight VS Clemson than OSU did.
Also.. I don't think it was an even match up. Michigan's D, should have killed that poor Oline FSU sports. However, freshmen Francios had other plans.
But yeah, FSU ended up being the better team that day.
That being said.
The two best teams (as usual no matter the system) are playing for the national title.
So... the playoff works... and they got it right.
Peppers still undecided about going pro.

I could see him returning and playing a full season at safety. Playing the "Viper" position doesn't help his draft stock when NFL teams are wondering how well he could play safety.

I hope he does. Michigan could definitely use the help next year.
Oh boy. Another year of ESPN hyping his overrated [BLEEP].

He'd be crazy not to.

Probably, but there is some rationale behind returning. Somethings that could be factoring into his decision:
-His draft stock has fallen to mid to late first round because he doesn't have a position.
-If he returns, Michigan could slot potential commit Willie Gay at Pepper's "Viper" position and allow Peppers a full season at his NFL position (safety).
-His hamstring injury might not be healed by the combine in 3 weeks.
-He has never played in a bowl game.
Now I'm still pretty certain he is going pro, but those are probably what has stalled the decision up to this point.
