Quote:WOuld rather have Peppers or Ware than Clemons.
Clemons production fell off a cliff last year, to 4.5 QB sacks.
Ware fell off as well with 6 sacks.

Was coming back from a torn ACL and competing for sacks with Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. He was returning to form later in the season and had a very strong SB. He plays the run very well and is an ideal Leo.
You're team would be lucky to have him. Hawk fans love him, but anticipated his release based on his cap hit.

Quote:WOuld rather have Peppers or Ware than Clemons.Holy crap man, you are getting worse and worse and worse. You cannot really think it's possible to simply look at a player page for 2 seconds, look at the most lying stat in the entire game, and know who had a better season. Yet all you do is bloviate on sacks like you know a damn thing.
Clemons production fell off a cliff last year, to 4.5 QB sacks.
And yes, sacks are by far the most lying stat in the game.

1. Julius Peppers and Jared Allen are not coming here. Period. Forget it. No, seriously, FORGET IT. And neither is DeMarcus Ware, now that we've brought his name up.
2. I'd also take Clemons and a draft pick over Young. Clemons knows Bradley's defense and the LEO position inside-out. Yeah, he's old, but he's be the perfect guy to have in town for a year or two while a draft pick is brought up to speed.

I'd be more excited for young than Clemons. You can't ignore the amount that young pressured the QB. It would be really nice to get Clemons though, a guy who essentially is the original LEO, to help in the rotation and lead by example.

Quote:I would still prefer Jared Allen on a 3 year deal. He hasn't even started falling off. Clemons, Peppers, and Ware have.
....also he hasn't missed a game in the past 6 years.
I disagree Allen hasn't been great the last 2 yrs. He didn't even sack Gabbert in season opener 2012. He still better then anybody on Jags though.

Clemon's lack of production last year primarily was a direct result of recovering from an injury.
From all accounts, he was very good late in the season and the playoffs.

Many crucial plays for the Hawks down the stretch to win a Super Bowl.
