Quote:Ball isnt really a solid starter. Nice depth I suppose.

Ball played very well last year. Like I said he was solid not an all star or anything.
Quote:Do you think he'll start or be for depth?

Potential to start at SAM LB. Gus and Dace are adding speed to the LB position which was a must.

He has the chance to start of course, but most likely will serve as a rotational player until he learns the defense.
I think he ends up the starter over Allen eventually. He looks to be a great fit in Bradley's D as a SAM linebacker.

Yeah, he's very athletic and I think him starting over Allen is pretty much a given.

Whether you see it or not Ball played well and is likely to be our #1 CB barring a F/A.
What if Jaguars draft Khalil Mack? where does Mack and Watkins play?

Wow I hope not. He didnt play bad, but he wasnt good either.

Actually, he was pretty good.

Watkins? I assume you mean Watson. Watson will most likely play the SAM role, while Mack can play all over.

Its difficult for me to go all Alan Ball for mvp when most of our games were out of hand early which allows the pass defense to look better.

Not improving CB would be a big mistake. Alan Ball is nothing more than a bridge gap.
dont know much about him... he could be a good depth behind Khalil Mack  :whistling: ... fits my narrative at least lol.

so if we were to go mack do u think he would be WILL role.. cause i kinda like the sound of poz at MIKE, watkins at SAM, mack at WIL, but im not sure who at Leo with babin gone.

If you draft Mack, he should be your SAM with Watson as depth.
Maybe this turns into an under-the-radar signing that works out surprisingly well. One thing is clear - Gus and Dave know the prototype they want from each position on defence and they're finding players who fit the bill. Watson could be the undersized, super athletic, run and hit LB Gus covets.

forgot about geno hayes too... he didnt look bad for us last year... i see this signing as being on par with a signing like hayes, not huge, but serviceable.

disagree, i think gratz is our best CB both now and moving on... dude played great in press man

No. If we draft Mack, I assume he would play the LEO. He's an athletic freak that can actually play all over. I would expect once the rotation LEO comes in to play, Mack could also rotate to SAM, vice versa.

Well, statistics and facts counter your argument.
