I guess our prison population isn't high enough.  (They will be soon though!--pun intended)

Good. You break the law, you do the time.. Obama's dream of a trash country is over..
Yes, cause the war on drugs is totally working and not a waste of money.

The war on drugs is a complete  failure......

I say let the states decide

Yup.. lets let criminals walk the streets free. It's ok, they only smoke a little, they only sell a little.. It's fine..

So stupid..

This I can agree with.. Stiffer penalties and upheld on the state level..
Criminals on the streets is working for Chicago.  Why not?

Typical lefty NIMBY talk.  Great for you, but not for me.

You really believe that your tax dollars are best suited on trillions being spent on marijuana, while it is becoming more and more legalized throughout the country?

Also, are you wanting to take sentencing out of Judges who can individually see each person charged and each set of circumstances?

Is it legalized everywhere? If not, then it's against the law where it isnt..

Yea because victimless crimes must be punished!  Bring back the guillotine's!

As long as folks can get [BAD WORD REMOVED] faced on alcohol, beat their wives and kids, kill innocents on the roads and rot their livers, why do we need drugs?

Consider this angle, what right does the federal government have to outlaw a plant that grows wild in the US?  For the record, I don't partake.  I just don't believe our government should be involving itself in victimless crimes.
The prison nation

What right do we have to break a law simply because we don't agree with it?
Break the law, pay the penalty. I don't see anything wrong with this..
I disagree with Sessions on this. But the law needs to be changed. Don't just blame one person who chooses to enforce a bad law. When you give government bureaucrats power over the people it will be abused.

Agreed.  Sessions is just enforcing the laws that are on the books.  It's bad law, but you can't just ignore it.  If it's bad, fix it or do away with it all together.

Just because there are no dead bodies doesn't make them victim-less.
