When healthy, Miles Austin was for many years the most reliable WR with the Cowboys. If he doesn't get a good offer from another team, Austin could realistically re-sign with the Cowboys at a more favorable salary cap figure.

I'd agree with both of these assessments. Several years ago, he was good. Problem is that he couldn't stay healthy, and now his skills have eroded.
One additional factor that really hurts Miles Austin in an attempt to get a good contract is there's a glut of WR's on the open market. With a draft that's loaded with good WR prospects.

I remember that one year where he was on the cover of people magazine or something, and then I put him on my fantasy team the next year.
Haven't seen him since.
