Caught portions of Mark Lamping's talk on 1010XL coming home.  Among other things he said there has never been a blackout since Khan took over and he said that there will be no blackouts in 2014 either.

Not surprising. Clearly Khan has decided that blackouts will not be an issue, regardless of how many tickets are initially sold.

Blackouts cause too much negative publicity and sap momentum for what he's trying to build.

So, thank you corporations, or Shad Khan's personal bank account, for allowing all games to be seen on local TV. It's great advertising.

Are you assuming this is what happened or have the numbers been released?
I personally don't care how it was accomplished, just glad to hear it.

And given the schedule, those games were easy sells anyway.

You know, without hearing Lamping saying that, I kinda already assumed that.. There's been a huge buzz in the air and the crowed since Khan took over.. This man knows how to own a team like a boss..

Khan is NOT the shoe salesman.

The Browns and Dolphins are an easy sell?

Come on CatAttack, you know he HAD to put some sort of negative comment in there.

It's what he does.

There are still alot of Dolphins fans in town and surrounding areas. There will be alot of Dolphins fans at that game.
Dont get me started on dolphin fans who live in northeast florida

How was what I said a negative comment??

You are fishing and see what you want.
Had you left off the last sentence it wouldn't have been.  But given your front office bashing agenda, you had to make sure you minimized the credit you gave them.

If I read more into the comment than you intended, I apologize. Given your history, I kinda doubt that is the case.

Personally, I think the buzz over the "new" stadium, along with Gus and the changes in the front office have provided a sense of excitement over the Jags that has been missing the past few years.   Hopefully that will translate into bigger crowds on game day.   Smile

I know I gladly renewed my season tickets yesterday!  I've renewed in the past too, but this year there was an honest sense of anticipation rather than impending doom.  LOL

The last time the Dolphins were in town...ugh...

It's amazing how many worn out Marino jerseys are still around.  I don't think they'd been washed since the 99 game either.

The good news is there are definitely alot less than there used to be.
Great news!

We've had No Blackout because we average 63,000 in attendance. Not because Mr. Khan pays to lift blackouts as you've suggested...

NH3...
