NFL.com also has a pretty good blog with Pro Day results and commentary

Kalil Mack had his Pro Day yesterday. And from all accounts, he killed it.

Quote:<div>Mack, who weighed in at 252 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds (he only ran the 40 once), which topped the 4.65 official time that he ran at the NFL Scouting Combine. He worked out both in space and with his hand in the ground, and blew people away with his pass-rush ability.

If it was possible for Mack to improve his draft chances, he did it at Buffalo’s pro day.

Khalil Mack with the 4.55 forty. I'm really starting to think he may be our guy.

Nope. Caldwell already said that he wants only Clowney or Bridgewater, and that is a scientific fact. If neither of them are available, expect the team to not draft anyone at all due to Dave having a combination of hissy fit and a big case of the stoopids. Or as I like to call them "the Ricos".

Seriously though, I'm really plugging hard for Mack. He seems like a hard worker who has taught himself how to produce, despite being the best player on his team. He may even be a better all around athlete than Clowney, although that's hard to tell. I wouldn't be terribly upset with having him on the roster.

Pro Day 40s are always faster than the official times at the combine.

So, he basically confirmed what he ran at the combine, around a 4.65

If he is considered a consolation prize, it's a darn good one.

That's still pretty impressive.

Sure, I wouldn't be mad if he was our pick.

If Kevin Hardy went 2nd overall, Khalil Mack could go 3rd... I think Mack could be a nice edge OLB pass rusher that can do everything else as well.  Definite upgrade over Allen or Hayes.

Bingo.
Teddy, Mack, Clowney..... I would be just fine with any of them.

I'm still on the Teddy Train but I like Mack. If Bridgewater is gone (and I think he will be), I would take Clowney or Mack in a heartbeat. I think if you can give Gus a few quality pieces that this defense can be pretty good.

I'm not all that familiar with Mack but what is his upside?

He good

For #3 overall, that aint good enough.
Saw that Eagles WR coach went to Ole Miss' pro day. Guessing he went to watch Moncrief. Interesting considering they have Jackson, Cooper. and Maclin all signed. Do the Eagles run 3 WR packages? I was thinking that they liked to run a lot of two tight sets

In the past 10 drafts:

Only three LBs were drafted in the top 5 (Von Miller 2011 2nd, Aaron Curry 2009 4th, AJ Hawk 2006 5th)

Only one LB drafted #3 or higher (Von Miller)

If we're drafting Mack #3 he should be Von Miller talent or better, a once in a decade type prospect.

LBS drafted in the top 10:

2013 Barkevious Mingo 6th

2012 Luke Kuechly 9th

2011 Von Miller 2nd, Aldon Smith 7th

2010 Rolondo McClain 8th

2009 Aaron Curry 4th

2008 Keith Rivers 9th, Jerod Mayo 10th

2007 N/A

2006 A.J. Hawk 5th, Ernie Sims 9th

2005 N/A

2004 N/A
Aj Hawk? Wow what a bust

McClain also a huge bust.
I am a lil concerned about Mack. Mack doesn't fit the pattern-y ... Teddy, Johnny, Clowney, Sammy
