That's the kind of player I'd love to fall, and be ready to take to play there.

 

I've been very vociferous about my opinion that the G and C crops underwhelm me, and that there would be no problem moving Paztor inside.

If they think Pasztor can play RG I would be more than happy with Kouandijo in the 2nd if he falls

This, some guys enjoy the experience and a lot of them know they might not go til day 2, some guys in the NBA draft pay their own way there and sit in the stands and still get to go on stage and shake the comish hands

Why cuz ESPN told you Teddy is gonna fall out the 1st round? They are the people who said Geno was gonna in the top 10, but you still believe everything they say.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find a recent mock from a credible source of Teddy going in the top 10. He's sliding whether you agree or not.

At this point the only person who would be surprised is J-Mizzal.

Not really. He did the smart thing. If your draft projection is all over the place why would you torture yourself by having to await your fate in the green room with cameras watching your every facial expression?

Why wouldn't you go if you get invited? It's a free trip you get to take and you get pampered all day. I wouldn't give two craps where I was projected to get drafted if I got an invite. It's every players dream to get drafted and why not go and when your name is called walk up and go on stage. It's a huge moment for any player. If it were me I'd go and have a good time if I was projected 1st pick or 41st pick.

Now imagine this with millions of dollars on the line and millions of people watching your every move live on TV.

Carr clearly has a smart agent. No way all 30 of those guys go in rd1. There are always surprises.

If I wasn't considered by most a top 5 pick, I'd stay home!

 

I look at Garappolo for example...  The kid is going to be sitting there the entire night probably, making it awkward for himself, his family, and heck - even us, the viewers.  Just stay home, please.

NFL Network wants lots of bodies in the holding room to trot up to the stage in prime time.

Nothing wrong with an extra day in NYC on the NFLs dime. Once in a lifetime experience, even if it is day 2 before you're called up.

You may be right about the agent, but I was more wondering if Carr got an invite to the first day selection?

The room's not that big and not everybody can just show up. The NFL sends formal invites, usually to the guys most likely to go in round 1. I know Tom Savage turned down being at any of the 3 draft days a little bit ago. Haven't heard that Carr turned down an invite. Was more wondering if he was even invited to Day-1?.....
