 I dont want a QB that wants to be Michael Jackson on this team!  The kids will not be safe.  He already dresses like a woman, that is enough.

Because he was flashy in college. Because of the hype of the running QB that's going on right now in football. Also because of the media.

 

If Bridgewater ran around and made more plays with his legs, instead of standing in the pocket, I guarantee you he'd be getting hyped up just as much. But since he's just the quiet football nerd and boring pocket passing QB, why talk about him.

 

I'm sorry, but give me the QB who is going to cut teams up from the pocket, over the QB who will probably miss multiple games every year because he thinks he can run around like he did in college.

First of all this isn't true. Second, very very few people have JFF > Teddy on their big boards. The only reason anyone has Johnny ahead in mock drafts is two massively stupid reasons: "the Texans keep the local kid in his home state", and "Gus Bradley has experience winning with a short, mobile QB." I don't think I have to tell you how dumb both of those reasons are.

 

None of those people have JFF ahead on their personal big boards, and none of them would take JFF first if they were the GM of the team with their jobs on the line. It's easy to make up stupid rationales on mocks for fun (especially when JFF early draws more page clicks).

Bridgewater has been at the top of the mocks for a long time.....but since the combine, things have changed. In 12 of today's mock drafts, Manziel is picked ahead of Bridgewater 8 out of the 12. Personally, I want Clowney and my 2nd choice is a toss up between Mack and Watkins.

The combine should not have changed anyones opinions, if anything Manziel was slower than I expected him to be. and he didn't throw so I'm not sure how that could push him up?

Bridgewater didn't run when he said he would and Manziel ran. Clearly that makes Manziel better.... duhhhh dude  :thumbsup:

Yeah clearly. Combine is a joke, the only way somebody should get pushed down during a combine is lack of effort during a drill or medical issues.

If people are changing mocks because of the combine , then I would wait another couple months when they actually throw and drill at their pro days..,


Bottom line- people are going to flip many times between now and the draft, but anyone who has seen these two play for more than just a couple of games,,, knows which has the higher potential to be a boom or bust pick between Manziel and Bridgwater..

Manziel = Mini-Tebow, Bridgewater will be the better pro..

 

Maybe I'm getting loopy after all of the draft talk, but I'm liking the idea of him more and more. Granted, that lower level of competition thing is worrisome but the guy is just destroying folks.

Only thing I don't get in these mocks is why we pass on a QB and teams like Oakland, Minnesota, and TB all grab QBs.  Is he saying that those teams are so desperate they want to reach on QBs that should go in the 2nd or 3rd round?  Otherwise, why would a team with one of the worst QB situations in the league pass on any of them?

Maybe he thinks our front office is focusing more on taking the best player no matter who it is rather than just going with a QB. Not gonna lie but I would be a little bummed if we take Mack over Teddy.

 

I am usually pretty good at predicting where teams will go in the draft but with this draft I have no idea. There are so many good prospects, no Lucks, and so many teams have numerous holes to fill.
