She had an amazing voice!!

It hasn't been "cool" to like this guy's music for quite some time, I liked this one anyway. Love the message of personal responsibility in this song. Thats a bad term nowadays.

I still cannot fathom that its going on 29 years old this year!! I think it was released in the Fall of 1985, IIRC. 

This chick had soul and a great voice. This sort of "feeling" is a missing part of the equation to current mainstream music. 

 

As an aside, for the longest time I had thought it was Michael McDonald with the background vocals in this as he seemed to do all this type of that decade, lol
