My joke was in response to what you said, not necessarily the situation. You said he could walk away and merely pointing out that is hard to do in an elevator.

Blackmon drinks a beer or smokes a joint and gets suspended indefinitely...Ray Rice beats his girlfriend unconscious and....

was there any marks on her?  Im sure if he knocked her out cold it would of left a mark.

Wonder if he gets a long suspension would Baltimore be interested in MJD? Both have similar playing styles. MJD was obviously superior during his prime, but with his age could be a nice fill in.

I agree with the fact that breaking a known rule repeatedly is incredibly stupid. My issue has more to do with our society's double standard when it comes to punishing people for drugs versus the penalty for committing other crimes.


Poor guy from the city gets busted with a marble sized cracked rock and he goes to prison for 5 years. Famous person beats up his girlfriend / wife / neighbor and he has to pay a fine and do 10 hours of community service. Or white collar criminal fleeces people out of their life savings and they get an 18 month extended stay at a resort...err...prison.


Now which person has done the most harm to his community?

I don't always punch my fiancee in the face, but when I do, I make sure it's in a building guaranteed to have video cameras every ten feet.

I think you go down a slippery slope suspending players before they are found guilty of anything IMO.

 

Do you know how hard you have to punch someone to knock them out--woman or otherwise? Let's assume that this tiny female actually attacked Rice and scared him enough to defend himself. This is his fiancee... how could anyone do this to someone they love? Violently attack their girlfriends? This is worse than any DUI or drug charge if you ask me.
