I agree

Would make things interesting if Houston went Clowney though...

We NEED Houston to pick Manziel

Quote:We NEED Houston to pick Manziel.

No we don't.
Quote:The point is the last time he threw without a glove (when he arrived at Louisville,) he threw an interception and he's worn them ever since.

If I were scouting him I'd like to see him throw the entire day without them, just to see that he's not hiding something.

And what would the point of that be?  Every criticism of yours about Bridgewater (except his frame) has been a complete reach.  "He decommitted from Miami!  He isn't a good, committed teammate!"  "He throws with gloves!  He's hiding something!"

Do you just feel like you have to go against the grain because so many people like Teddy?  I mean seriously, what's the deal?  I can't understand your irrational hatred of him as a prospect.  Is it because you want Clowney?  It's okay to want Clowney and not have to trash the other prospects.

If anything, I'd commend the kid on a good decision if playing with gloves helps him.  Sheesh.
Quote:No we don't.
If they did, we would have the leftovers of arguably the best prospect and best QB prospect.

If houston takes Bortles or Manziel, we are allllll good.

The way I see it is Teddy and Clowney go first and second and we trade down.

This draft class is being described as one of the deepest ever and the Jags probably have the weakest roster in the NFL so the more picks the better, starters can be found in the first 5 rounds and based off last year Dave likes to find starters all the way down so if we can end up with 10 picks in the first 5 rounds that would give this roster a huge boost. I expect us to take Garoppolo and sit him behind Henne for a year. People might not like it but Henne will be ok for a year with a lot more talent around him while Jimmy gets NFL ready.

Quote:Jon Kitna has small hands and did not wear gloves.

Peyton Manning has big hands and started wearing gloves last year.

What is your point?

Mickey Mouse wears gloves.....?

If Houston takes Bortles or Manziel, we are all good.

We don't know yet who the best quarterback prospect is.
So far from the measurements of tightends, Troy Nikolas has everyone by one inch, Eric Ebron... How can he play tightend at only 6'4?

Quote:We don't know yet who the best quarterback prospect is.
Hence the word "arguably."
Apparently if the draft was held to day. Blake Bortles would be the first pick

Depends on who you choose to believe. There is a ton of smokescreen in Houston now, so all I can figure out is they don't want Joihnny Manziel.

Have you seen these last few pics and that vine of Teddy in the last couple days too? Worries about his frame are looking awfully silly now too even.
Word is Greg Robinson "wowed" at the measurements.  Came in just over 6'5" and 332 with 35" arms.

Sorry to upset you with the truth, but the guy you obviously have a crush on isn't perfect.  (Let me guess, that's just another "reach" and just a  display of "hate"... LOL...)

What does it matter to you that I have a different opinion than yours?  Apparently it means quite a lot to you for some odd reason.  Obviously, you think yours it "right" and mine is "wrong."  I'm not sure how old you are, but that's just not how opinions work.

Just so you know, your Superman does have weaknesses.  But then, I doubt you've ever bothered reading a scouting report or watched him play football.  You're just following the crowd.

Tell me this.  If he's so good and above criticism, then why isn't he the head and shoulders candidate that Luck was?  He's not, that's why.  But what's more is... why does that seem to bother you so much?

This is the Geno hype all over again... but squared.  I don't dislike the guy.  I believe his very much warranted criticisms value him just outside the top 10, and would consider it a reach (as I would for any QB in this draft) with the third pick.

Weaknesses
Has a very lean, narrow frame with limited bulk and small hands. Does not drive the ball with velocity down the field and can be affected by cold and windy conditions (see Cincinnati). Can improve placement and touch on the deep ball. Adequate athlete. Is not an overly elusive scrambler -- struggles escaping the rush and buying a second chance with his feet vs. pressure. Passing stats are padded from operating a passing game that relies heavily on short, lateral tosses. Long-term durability could become a concern without continued strength and weight gains.

Hmm... must be "reaching" and "hating"...

Get a grip.
I wonder if Pirks has actually watched Bridgewater or just looked at him and convinced himself he was Geno

Looks are deceiving Pirks

I personally think 332 is too much.
Quote:Bridgewater looks yoked

Dude looks pretty jacked to me

My "Superman?"  Really?  You might be the most condescending fool I've ever met.

I could care less about your opinion--you just seem to want to throw around all your weight as some sort of expert.  For your information, I've watched every cutup of the guy I can find, as well as several of his games.  I've done the same for both Manziel, Bortles, and Clowney.  I'd be happy with any of them at 3 except Manziel, and even with a trade down.

You're the one who seems like they can't handle a difference of opinion.  What the hell is the point of a message board if we can't argue and refute points?  Feel free to continue to hold an opinion that smacks of you putting your fingers in your ears and yelling "lalala" while anyone who disagrees with you continues to point out your unwarranted criticisms.

But then, that's who you are.  Anyone who doesn't hold your opinion is a young moron who is somehow beneath you, and is getting caught up "in the crowd" or the "hype."  I happen to hold my opinion based upon what I have seen myself.  Hard cheese to swallow for you, I'm sure, but that's the truth.

You're the one who needs to get a grip.  I'm assuming you're an old man based on how you're attempting to condescend to me without knowing my age, but you argue like a five year old.  Damn.
Meh, nevermind.
