If you dont care what people say. You dont stand up for the cause. So locally you dont care either. So it is never a big deal. To me it is cause it is my team i go see and i want info on. Maybe cause raised on a nfl level and not college i see things differently.
Quote:What is rediculious caring bout your team?
Well, first of rediculous isn't a word. Secondly, because I don't overreact to every bonehead in the media doesn't make me any less of a fan. Who the hell cares? I know my team and I support my team. I don't need some media clown telling me anything.

This is really, really, dumb.
They don't research the Jags and it doesn't bother me seeing as they never have.. they still talk like we have the most blackouts and are moving to LA.. One minute of actual research would show them both are far from the truth. As far as Marcedes, he leads fantasy in blocking jk.... he is our 4th best player IMO
What appears dumb to you is the reason I go to a club and hear constant mockery of the Jags. Or at Walmart? Publix. Where ever. To me it is not. It is a team in Jacksonville that stand proud for.
Sorry Teal Time.. I disagree with you on this. I give an unhealthy amount of time, money and emotion to this team. That said, I am beyond the "little brother syndrome" reactions to what the national media says because I have come to realize they don't do their homework and play favorites. I am no longer surprised by the way we are portrayed on a national landscape because it has zero bearing on how I feel about the team or what they do on the field. To say someone is a fair weather fan because they don't get bent over what the national media says is a bit silly. A more immature fan may freak about every slight, jab, omission, oversight or inaccuracy. But its par for the course. Don't accuse people of not caring enough because reporters who are lazy and bad at their job don't faze them.

And what exactly does that have to do with some clown on NFL Network?
Heaven forbid I actually wept in the corner over some donkey statement that came out of Jamie Dukes' piehole.
You have that right to disagree. But when gus builds the right culture. And people do get upset you will see a change great sales and this is our town and our house mentality. How dare you come here and talk junk about our jags. Of course will have your name honored. But true fans like Charlie who dresses in jags head to toe and bcb and tsh will be seen on the forfront. Of the movement. The Jacksonville Jaguars not the Jacksonville Gators. And tickets be sold out for 5 10 years. And the fans will sit down in the seat winning 60-10 or losing 60-10 and love every second of it.
You're missing the point. Calling people fair weather fans.. especially now, is wrong.

Well. Not only that but he's contradicting himself. He's describing me in his last sentence but he's already labeled me a 'fairweather fan'.
This team has been a dumpster fire for years, yet I see the same people posting about their optimism and grief year in and year out. But to say these people are fair weather fans because they don't get as upset as you do over some [BLEEP] comment is myopic and dumb.
If you get butt hurt by every dumb thing Mark Kriegel or Heath Evans says about this team, I would see an OB/GYN.

I think it's okay to express on here that it bothers you. I think I became apathetic to ESPN/NFL Network commentary, or lack thereof, years ago.
I still buy my merch/tickets and I'm quick to defend the team when people around me make uneducated statements.
I could care less what they say. Fist of all, the Jags aint no good, and ESPN, NBC, CBS, and the NFLN are useless people that are there for the dollar.
Quote:If it bothers you. You have emotion and shows you care. Those it dont when people talk junk about the Jags are fair weather fans.
I'm sure there's an English translation of this out there somewhere.
As far as the OP is concerned, did it really bother you enough to the point where you needed to start a thread whining about it? Seriously?

Your a fair. Weather fan.
Quote:If you no longer care you no longer have passion. You need to get that back. Sorry my opinion. You may not agree. But then again I dont agree going everywhere and not seeing a fire for the Jags.
Dude, I think whichever part of your brain is responsible for your awful grammar is beginning to take over. Don't let it!

Sorry. This mindset is ridiculous. You've been a local for about 10 minutes, so you know diddly squat about the passion this town has for the Jaguars. Poor thing. You go to Publix or WalMart and someone says something bad about your team. You should show them what a tough guy and die hard you are and start swinging. That'll show em.
