I learned the hard way a six-letter word that starts with n must never ever ever be said at work. There was an incident when a black coworker wrongly accused me of calling her that just because I said the word to someone else who did call her that. So I am basing my comments on

Exactly, your personal experience and sense of morality doesn't translate to an NFL locker room or probably to any group of males in general.
The dismissals are proof what happened in Miami is not normal guys being guys because if it was, nobody would lose his job over it, and here two people did.

What Miami is doing is called CYA against bad publicity. Both of those guys will probably receive favorable endorsements from Miami and be rehired somewhere else by next season.

It's not proof at all. It's probably fairly normal in most locker rooms if not all. This just become a public spectacle, so now heads gotta roll. Just because you really really want to believe something doesn't mean it's proof.

Normal guys being guys does not result in people losing their jobs. If it did, everybody who ever did anything like that would be fired.

No, you have it exactly backwards. The anomaly in this is Martin being a weakling and crying to his mommy, not the normal, regular behaviors exhibited by men. This kind of thing happens everywhere and people don't get fired, the difference here is the "victim" making a spectacle of himself because he couldn't hack it.

But the 144-page report claims he was not the only victim. Jim Turner was fired for his treatment of a player who did
not complain about being bullied. How do you explain that?

If Martin wasn't all over the news this would've been a non-incident. In other words, the guy who didn't complain understood the system and dealt with it. Little Johnnie couldn't hack it.
