If the Texans take Bridgewater or Clowney at #1 and the Rams trade the #2 selection to another team that wants the other player, knowing we want 1 of the 2, who would you take with the #3 selection in the draft? Also you cant trade back.
My selection WR Sammy Watkins Clemson. I believe if we miss out on our top 2 hopefuls then we take the best offensive weapon available. I'm sure we could find a QB in the later rounds to compete with C.Henne and with Blackmon being a ? at this point in time we could use a true #1 on the outside opposite of C.Shorts. And if Blackmon does come back then who ever is starting under center come August will have 3 playmakers to throw to. We could easily be a top passing offense and be competitive right away.
Thought?

Watkins or trade back
Dark horse would Robinson
If both are gone, I'd hope we trade back and maybe get Bortles. Watkins is a good player, but this is a deep draft for WR.

Watkins is on another planet compared to every other receiver in this draft, I get this sentiment, but the Jaguars will be tempted to take him or Khalil Mack with the 3rd overall pick if Clowney and TBW are off the board.

Quote:Manziel
This, I want to see manziel in a jags uniform so bad.
Manziel or Mack. Each have arguably more upside than Bridgewater or Clowney.
I will leave this here for all enamored by Manziels braggadocio:
DD:
How can you root against a kid like that?
AA:
Because he's from Texas and has no affinity for Ohio and Cleveland beyond what someone put on index cards for him.
He pouring out the slop bucket down the line, and the hogs are gleefully eating it up with a tear in their eye.
Not to say a player from another part of the country can't come here and become a fixture in the community. But Manziel is just sucking up to the top teams and their communities. He's running for office, and this is just his idea of kissing a baby. The women folk are falling all over themselves.
I for one hopes he gets his "wish"
Just say no to Johnny Alcohol. Way too many red flags, on and off the field.
Blake Bortles scares me in a Blaine Gabbert kind of way, and I'm not convinced that a QB drafted at the top of round two won't have the same upside that he does. Jake Matthews would actually be really tempting to me in this scenario. Pasztor could slide inside to guard, where he played in 2012, and presumably shore up one of those positions while the team rolls out another potentially dominant tackle. Vic's favorite old witticism about how different the Jags would have been had they drafted Jonathan Ogden in 1996 instead of Kevin Hardy is in the back of my head on Matthews. Barr and Mack could also be worth that pick, but I think it'd have to be Watkins. He's a true playmaker and will lock up the position opposite Shorts, and will let the team handle Blackmon however they want, whether that's bringing him back into the fold or trading/releasing him the second he's reinstated.
Watkins fills a need and would be the BAP

Haha nice! I was kind of wondering if someone would do this.
If Dave thinks someone other than Teddy will be a franchise QB then that's the easy pick, if not then Mack is the easy non QB choice for me. Watkins would be fine too but Mack is just as good and DE is a bigger need and the position dries up much quicker than WR in this draft.
I am pretty positive that Clowney is going to the Texans.
Not for sure of of course

Good shop...but shouldn't he be sitting on the sideline with a trainer applying ice to his knee? That's what we'll see most when johnny ego tries his cute little circus tricks against NFL d's. Contain the midget in the pocket and make him throw against coverage. ..easy W.
