Quote:I like Murray as the looked over qb. There is no way you pass on clowney. I dont know if Mcgill can actually play or he just fills the shoes really well but i would love to find out. Christian jones isnt even the best lb from florida state i d much rather have telvin smith. I think Micheal Sam would be good. I watched him play and the guy goes non stop and thats gus bradleys kind of guy.I'll agree with you that Telvin is better than Jones. But I think the Poz is too overpaid and actually pretty mediocre. I think Jones would be good to take his spot this year or be our #2 MLB. But I would love to see Telvin or Christian, I just didn't wanna seem like an FSU homer.

Telvin Smith has the difficult task of gaining 20 pounds without losing his speed and quickness that has made him so great. Perfect example is Denzel Nkemdichie from Ole Miss. Played the 2012 season as a 210 pound LB and named first team all SEC. Next year teams ran more at him and he fought injuries and struggled with more linemen coming at him. Smith has a good chance to excel. Underweight just worries me

FA - Jeremy Maclin, WR. Injury prone and coming off of an underwhelming year, he could be had at a cheap price and add depth to the WR corps.
Draft - Kapri Bibbs, RB, Fourth Round. Electric player that plays an undervalued position. He could be a terror in the AFC South.

Quote:No Thanks. I'd take Mett any day over Murray
Agreed. And I'm a UGA fan. Murray is a decent QB, but he's not a game breaking QB like Stafford was in college. And despite the passing records, he just didn't impress at all during the big conference games. And truth be told, without Gurley involved consistently on our offense, he struggled out there from time to time. Factor in the knee injury, and you're really just wasting a top draft choice on a guy that offers no imediate value or impact. Mettenberger on the otherhand, fits the prototypical QB build you look for, has a huge arm, can get it downfield, and has played in a pro-style offense. I actually like him a bit more. In fact, I like Connor Shaw out of USC (SEC) as much as Murray as well.

Quote:You must have ignored the word "realistic" in the OP. The Jaguars know he fails the character test.
We don't know this to be true Incognito and Michael Sam may or may not fail the character test.
Take Michael Sam in draft and sign Incognito to keep him in line

Sign both a top tier guy on fhe offensive line and defensive line. Plug in a few holes at wr, offensive line, depth on a couple of mid tier guys. Sign many more low priced free agents and undrafted rookies and continue the competition mentality going forward. Draft both a pass rusher and QB in the 1st and 2nd round in any order. Keep Chad Henne as a stop gap in the case the rookie is not ready to play. In the 3rd or 4th round draft a rb or te. This team needs a playmaker between the tackles.

I believe McGill in a Gus Bradley defense we will see his full potential.
And Hakeem Nicks leg injurys are a real problem but when he is on the field he is a true threat i think that's more then enough to try him out on a 1 or 2 year contract

FA- T Jason Fox ( Lions ). On paper, it looks close to a perfect match for the Jaguars and Fox. With a short term contract likely for Fox regardless of what team he ends up with.
I'll hold off on the Jaguars draft prediction until closer to the draft.
