Seems cat #2 forgot the basic rule of animals, and people too, PROTECT YOUR TAIL AT ALL TIMES.

1st one had some kind of kidney disease she couldn't beat, second one may have tangled with a critter.

We lost a cat when I was real young, one of my earliest memories, and we never refer to a cat that passed away as being lost.
