There are going to be guys who are going to be weeded out. Some may have injury issues. Some may have other issues. Everyone thinks they're going to be a top-10 pick and now they're not even going to be in the conversation.

I think if Clowney and Bridgewater are gone, both very real possibilities you will see a trade down

I see a trade-down only if Jake Matthews is taken prior to three.

Even if Clowney is still available they might trade down for the right price. However I don't see it happening unless they get a Julio Jones type offer.

If you really think that you don't have a clue who Jake Matthews is.

The top player in college football or Luke Joeckel's former team mate?

It would be difficult to pass up Clowney as a prospect, he would have to bomb the interviews for that to happen

I can see it though, especially if we do get a Julio Jones type offer
I would become physically ill if we got another o-lineman this high up in the draft...

The gujy who only played right tackle because they had Luke Joeckel. He would have always played on the left side at any other school.

Jake can play all offensive line positions. He might be a Hall of Famer at left guard, for example.

All the Jaguars will get is a lot less sacks on their quarterback. Frankly, Teddy and Johnny can't take fifty sacks.

I understand the thought process behind it

But for me, if you got a freak like Clowney or a polished qb like Bridgewater

Idk, I guess we have to see how Matthews grades after the combines

I'd have to fight the urge to riot if we draft another o-lineman in the 1st round.

I'd be fairly shocked.  Bradfield offers somewhat capable depth behind Joeckel and Pasztor.  They'll address either C or LG in free agency and the remaining of the two in the draft after the first round.

I can't see them taking an OT in the first and I don't think they should.

Does anyone agree with Jeremiah - that they may take Watkins?
It's like everyone is ignoring the obvious hints that Dave is giving out in these interviews and fan forums. Just like he did last year when he said OT was the strength of this class and singled out Joeckel many times specifically.

Based on the handful of clues Dave has given so far, OT and Manziel are the only two things I am willing to all but guarantee won't be the pick.

Trade all the way down to the 32nd pick and pick a o-lineman, and acquire multiple 3's and 4's.  Absolute genius.  Chhhaammmpppiiooonnshiippp.

Be difficult not too...

I'd probably be ready to call Dave Caldwell a failure if we drafted an O-lineman in the 1st round this year -- unless we first traded down and got a lot of extra picks.

I can see it.  There's a lot of quality at certain positions, and some potentially elite talent in this draft that aren't getting that much attention in Jag nation.  It's just too bad the QB question is such a distraction from what are better stories out there.  Watkins (and the deep WR class) is one of those.
