Quote:Love how the casual viewers are throwing out the McCarron-Brady comparisons completely neglecting the fact that McCarron has no pocket presence.Yet you casually compare Bridgewater to Montana.
Bunch of brainiacs we have here
Quote:How do you define "larger quantity"?He had more of numbers 2, 3, and 4 on your list than Bridgewater has. Number one I'm not as sure about.
Quote:Yet you casually compare Bridgewater to Montana.Eh I saw instances where McCarron abandoned a clean pocket where he could step up and deliver a throw
BTW - in the McCarron vs Oklahoma cut-up you keep pushing - he handles pressure well the majority of the times he experiences it.
He makes a bad decision trying to force a throw with an unblocked DB blitzing. Then he converts a few plays later with a rapidly collapsing pocket on 3rd and 6.
Prior to that he escaped pressure with his feet three times - running for positive yardage twice and throwing for a completion once.
The sack just before halftime was his LT getting beat like a drum and the center being pushed back so he couldn't step up to avoid it. It happens. He did nothing wrong.
Then he converts again on the next play.
The intentional grounding was ugly. So that's two poorly handled pressures. The next two pressures he makes a decent attempt to step into pocket. Then he takes a sack on which he might have slung it to his left a split second before going down. That's three on the negative side. Then there's a textbook blindside sack he didn't see coming. Nothing to do with bad presence on that one.
I saw three instances where he could have displayed better pocket presence. Not a very glaring indictment on McCarron, IMO. Try again.

Quote:You must submit and agree that Bridgewater is Montana-like.Who said he was Montana like, they just have similar skillsets...
Otherwise, you are stupid and aren't allowed to have an opinion.
You're getting slow at this NYC.
Don't feed the trolls.
Quote:Have you seen Montana coming out of Notre Dame???Your comparison didn't say "Bridgewater is Montana-coming-out-of Notre-Dame-ish." And, no. When Montana was finishing Notre Dame I was in elementary school and not really exactly scouting college QBs.

Quote:you should take a lookWatched a few game recaps. Montana throws on the run often and looks really comfortable doing it. That's a similarity I guess, though most of the time with Teddy it's a designed roll-out and he's not improvising while he does it. Montana has better trajectory and velocity on some intermediate routes. Sometimes Teddy let's it hang up there a bit too long for my taste. (Montana also hands the ball off a ton in that Notre Dame offense!)
Quote:Teddy compares most favorably to Aaron Rodgers. And I will take that any day.So when you view the Old Tom Brady highlight video from his Michigan days, which quarterback prospect in this year's draft does he remind you of?
Quote:Have you seen Montana coming out of Notre Dame???Why, yes I did. As a matter of fact, I stared across the Gator Bowl field at him from the Penn State student section during the 1976 Gator Bowl.
