Here's a short excerpt from LA times Sam Farmer, who's usually a reliable and respectable soure when it comes to the NFL.
Quote:Jacksonville Jaguars General Manager Dave Caldwell is believed to be interested in McDaniels, so the Rams’ being on the hunt for a coach could impact how the Jaguars deal with Coach Gus Bradley, who is 14-47 in nearly four seasons

I think McDaniels would be my first choice of coaches who will be available...albeit, I admit that I don't pay too much attention to other teams coaching staffs.
Cooter from Detroit may be someone to watch out for. Once he took over, their offense played a lot better.
Josh mcdaniels.
Wonder if he'll bring in Tebow to compete

Bunch of assumptions, guessing, bs reporting. Did the reporter actually talk to Caldwell and Caldwell said, "yeah, I'm interested in hiring McDaniel" while Bradley is still under contract and coaching the team. Bunch of crap.
I'm not 100% against McDaniel's, but I am a little surprised people are so interested in a guy that was 11-17 in his first job as a HC and also comes from the Bill Belichick coaching tree
How about a Mcdaniels Garopolo package
I think I would be okay with McDaniels but cant see him leaving New England. He seems to be the heir apparent for Bellicheck
I'd love Garopolo, but not sure how they could be packaged. The one benefit of McDaniels is he probably knows if Garopolo has "it" and could guide Caldwell on if it was really worth giving up a kings ransom.
All of these guys are likely to get interviews with at least one team IMO:
Jim Bob Cooter
McDaniels
Patricia
Kyle Shanahan
Anthony Lynn
Jim Schwartz
Sean McDermott
Teryl Austin
Mike Shula
and maybe George Edwards
No, no, no, no, no, no, NO. Another big no!!
Please, and bring in Rex Ryan as DC would be a drean scenario. This D is built for what Rex would do in a 3-4 not to mention we could possibly draft Allen to play 5 tech with Jackson on the other end. Folwer and Yannick as our OLB
The Garrapolo deal is an easy one to pull off when the Jags are picking top 5 and the Pats are picking past 24
You can easily package swap deals or mix in next years picks
Just for kicks:
Jags get: Pats 1, Pats 2, and Garrapolo
Pats Get: Jags 1, Jags 2, and conditional 2018 Pick (1st or 2nd)
**Jags trade Bortles for an Arizona 3 or 4
Don't be afraid to deal, get aggressive .. I wouldn't mind picking late to get a QB or giving up my 2018 1st if I'm in the playoffs next year
For the love of all that is good in this world, please no.
No coaches from the Belichick tree.
I'm not sold on McDaniels. But he would be a huge upgrade.
I read a report last night that said Harbaugh might leave Michigan for LA. If true, I wonder if we could sway him to visit Jax.
Impact how we deal with Gus? What fire him today?
He was paying Fisher about $6.5 million annually, quite generous for a coach whose Rams career consisted of five consecutive losing seasons
Yikes on the stache getting that much money. And dang there is probably a buy out clause after giving him a 2 year contract.

Yep. There's a reason coordinators arn't good after leaving. They don't have Bills influence which is a huge multiplier.

Why? So we don't have to have numerous threads re The Curse of Tebow? That makes sense.
