Quote:It's an artist's rendering of what they would like to see the stadium look like down the road.  The artist who did the rendering isn't thinking about who is on the video board, and isn't associated with the team.  In all honesty, the person who did this drawing probably isn't even a fan of the Jaguars  Methinks you're reading too much into the image.

But Blackmon is fifty foot tall in the rendering, that's ten times MJD tall.

I'm sold. Smile
Quote:So this picture along with others were revealed by the team at a Luncheon during superbowl week about possible stadium changes in the future, you'll notice that they decided to put Blackmon in the titan tron picture. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but you'd think that if the team didn't believe in him returning, they would have never put him in this picture.

Thoughts?

I strongly believe that B14CKMON will remain a Jaguar and his production will speak for itself. Also the fact that his image was used in this rendering instead of MJD or Poz also speak for itself...

NH3...
This thread is a bigger reach than the Bryan Anger selection.
Means nothing.
I'm sorry but you guys have lost touch with reality... I'm guessing if the Patriots did something like this and Aaron Hernandez wound up on the titantron they'd just let it go.. right?

Use your magnifier and look deeply into the background. The picture shows that he's in the parking lot.

I don't know what that means.

Nice crack in post 23 there, UCONNjf.

In this photo you are unable to read his Jersey nor make out his face so the artist probably took a "Safe" photo to chose from when doing it.  I think you are reading too much into it.
I don't see how the two relate. That picture was also used when we unveiled our new uniforms. I don't expect to get any real news until at least mini-camp.

Dude. It literally has nothing to do with anything. I think YOU, have lost touch with reality and looked way to far into a stadium concept that probably wasn't even made by the Jaguars.

They wouldn't use Hernandez because he is a murderer. Blackmon likes to drink. There is a BIG difference.

So, everyone else who thinks you're reading too much into a silly picture have lost touch with realty, and you have a monopoly on being real because of some fantasy you've concocted?  Gotcha.
I think theres a small something to the team putting Justin Blackmon on the concept idea they are presenting to business people. Its not some random player or random number its #14 of the Jags AKA Justin Blackmon. Its not like they used some random number not associated with the team as they easily could have.

When presenting anything in a business manner even the little things like that matter and there was likely a disucssion on which player to use in the concecpt drawing. It wasnt #89 or #37 or #32 as it could have been. If the team felt JB wasnt capable of returning and representing the team well then he wouldnt be on the concept drawing for a new stadium they are trying to build and are presenting for others to see.

Not saying its a sure fire "all is good" thing but it is a small endorsement of JB by the Jags and to me a positive sign that they are willing to include him in things that are representative of the teams future.

7-tigers

Could just be that the photo was pulled from the new jersey campaign that was used last yr. This picture was on th NIKE site all season.

Good Point Ninja#117!

I'm willing to bet Blackmon will start week 1 barring any new mess ups.

i think it's wishful thinking but we could all use a bit of hope round here. Blackmon will likely be reinstated at some point this season but its whether he can stay clean I'm worried about

if he gets himself straight we have a nice variety of wr sets

it leaves us just needing a big body receiver to move the chains which i think can be found in the 4th or beyond

without blackmon we need another top tier talent which means using a first or second we can hardly afford to loose considering our needs at other areas.

That's got absolutely nothing to do with a stock picture being used in an artists rendering of stadium renovations.  The company who did the mock up isn't privy to anything regarding personnel decisions with the team.  You understand that, right?  Some company like Haskell put those pictures together.  They're not working in Caldwell's office.

The picture still has to be approved, am I talking with a 2 year old?
The offense improved with Blackmon on the field.  JB is  a talented player and should become a dominate force on the field.  If he continues to drink like a rockstar,  his career is surely over. I think things are turning around now, which is great. Best part of football is how an organization can help turn a players life around.

The logic you're using here certainly qualifies for such chronology.
