Seattle just had a better team. They are more agressive, more physical, and just built to beat the kind of team Denver is. Honestly Denver is not that much different than the Colts (aside from the 1 year they won the Superbowl).
Denver is a finesse team. The offense is predicated on timing and a ton of YAC. How do you take that a way? Squating, jumping routes. Being physical. At one point in the game the Manning's WRs looked completely out of it. They were scared to take big hits as they were getting beat up all game long. Their running game is also suspect. It's all draws, traps, and stretch plays. They won't outright pound the rock.
The Defense.....No major playmakers. Very very suspect secondary, and an inconsistent pass rush.
This all adds up to great regular season but no Superbowl win.
Manning, like nearly all superbowl winning QBs, requires a better than average defense. A running game is also crucial.
