I think you're over-drafting the quarterbacks. None are elite. You'll just be blowing a top three pick on a inevitable pro back-up.
No way the Jaguars pass on Jake Matthews. He's the top pro prospect in college football.
With Clowney, Cushing and Watt, you need all the help you can get.
Texans ain't made out of paper.
What's more Luke Joeckel is coming off ankle surgery. He's the best offensive lineman we've got. A real elite tackle, but then what?
I can just guess...
Luke doesn't play at 100%. The rest of the offensive line continues to play poorly as they have for the past ten years, and when our quarterback, whoever he is, goes down with an injury; because he's Luke Joeckel he gets all the blame.
Right?
I'll make a wager we do in fact pass on Matthews
Quote:Whose mock is this?
My mock
Clowney falling to 5 lol.
Quote:I'll make a wager we do in fact pass on Matthews
Not a good idea to do that, but OK.
Quote:Clowney falling to 5 lol.
There is a realistic chance he falls to five if Houston, Jacksonville, and Cleveland take QB's.

Right?
Trolling is bad for your health.
The staff seems to love Pasztor and Joeckel will come back healthy. We'd probably pick Watkins before Jake Matthews.

If the Jags pass on Matthews will you go away for a month?
Quote:Not a good idea to do that, but OK.
I'd like in on this bet. There's no way Jaguars take another OT with a top five pick.
I'll go as far as saying I'd leave this board forever if we take Matthews. What's your wager?
Clowney goes within first 2 picks.
TX Bortles
ATL with STL trade Clowney
JAX Bridgewater
CLE Manziel
OAK Barr
STL from ATL Matthews

Loser leaves bet?
If Jake Matthews is on the board, and we pass on him -- you leave the board.
If the Jaguars take Jake Matthews, then I leave the board.
If Jake Matthews is taken before 3 -- then nobody leaves the board

Is this one of those wrasslin wagers where the loser is really just going dark for a few months to have surgery or will he show up on another message board the next day?
watkins is more likely since we no longer have a boss on our receiving core since we're considering JB a Luxury if he comes back. Further I doubt that Cloweny gets past pick 2. I'm sure some team will trade up and snag him. It won't fetch the price that the rams want, but hey that was a free pick anyway and if they can net trade firsts, net another second and a couple later round picks or some futures I'm sure they'd be willing. That leaves us With whichever Qb that huston doesn't take, and i doubt they take Bortles.
Its Watkins or Clowney for me. And if they go in the top 2 then its Teddy, Manziel, or Bortles...whomever the staff feels most confident about at QB
But IMO the best three players are Clowney, Watkins, or Matthews.

Honestly if the jags draft Matthews, I might turn into TMD. And while I like TMD, he got banned, and I'd probably eventually too. So to save time, I'd probably just not come back anyway.
It's a pick that makes absolutely no sense for the Jaguars.
To quote the direct TV commercials...
"If the Jaguars select Jake Matthews, The Eleventh Doctor will go crazy.
If the eleventh doctor goes crazy, he might start making crazy posts.
If he starts making crazy posts, he might make more crazy posts.
If he makes more crazy posts, he might turn into TMD.
Don't turn into TMD. Draft someone other than Matthews."

The Jags will not take Matthews. No way.
The only way we'll take Matthews is if he falls to the 3rd round and it's just too good to pass up.
in other words.. NOT HAPPENING BRO
