Quote:Colts? They still need a RB right?

Haha....highly doubt it though.....they just spent a high draft pick on Trent.....can't see them taking a chance on MJD
Pocket Hercules is in New York right now, he might as well unpack. TC is a year shy of his fourth year of his patented four year Super Bowl victors formula.

Ya gotta run the football.

There's no way MJD will be back in a Jaguar uniform, he wants more than what DC is willing to pay for a declining RB. I can see MJD signing a incentive laden contract with Denver, they aren't expected to bring back Knowshon Moreno, and Monte Ball is suspect at best in pass protection. MJD would give them a solid back who (albeit has lost a step) would be a battering ram against the soft fronts Denver's offense gets, the Del Rio factor could come in to play as well.

Right?  They love him there.

I was thinking tacks

**filling in for TMD here** How can the Jags not get any value for him? They clearly don't know what they're doing.

(someone had to do it...)
No, no they didn't.

different situation then Daryl Smith I keep seeing that comparison.

Daryl Smith was and still is capable of playing at a high level as a full time starter, MJD wasn't even able to contribute as a role player last year.

the face of the franchise went to Shad the day he took over.

It will be painful to see MJD play in a different uniform. Sad

Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and Joe Montana will always be 49ers.

Brett Favre is a Packer.

Jason Taylor is a Dolphin.

Donovan McNabb an Eagle.

Emmitt Smith a Cowboy.

Peyton Manning a Colt.

Julius Peppers a Panther.

Daunte Culpepper a Viking.

Steve McNair a titan.

Fred Taylor a Jaguar.

Unless Maurice Jones-Drew goes on to have a high level of success on another team similar to a player like Drew Brees, or even like Reggie White, Maurice will always be a Jaguar.

He will always be a Jaguar.

I agree with Jagwireds post #11. The Jags and MJD owe each other nothing.

Maybe he could go to St. Augustine and be a security guard at the Conch House on Reggae Night. Him and Hillbilly, together again.

The Franchise is moving on.

With MJD likely gone, there won't be much left of what ties us to our Jags of the past.

New Uniforms, new scoreboards, new coach, new GM, and yes - new players ... save for a very select few.

I'm not upset in the slightest.  I think MJD can do a good job somewhere, and would actually welcome him back at a very cheap deal - but he won't come very cheap.

Moving on with our future will be good.

Welcome to test the market....and if another team decides to throw stupid money his way for what he has left...God bless 'em.

He missed the train once....time waits for no man, even NFL running backs.

I put his jersey away months ago.

Truthfully I'd like to see Jones Drew get a shot at a Super Bowl before he retires.  He's one of the greatest players in Jaguar history.  Time for Mojo to move on and set a new legacy for his replacement.

Was watching game highlights from 2008-2010 and man I miss the old MJD, he was the best RB in the league for a short period of time.

I put it away when he pulled the hold out card out.
If MJD goes, so does my love for him as a player..

32 teams.. 31 enemies..
After the holdout, I figured there was very little chance that he would ever sign another contract with the jags.

At this point in his career, he and the jags are just a bad fit for each other.

Still on that? Really!?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I love Mojo as a player and hope he goes to a competive team.  That said, I think his departure is a wise move for both Mojo and the Jags.  Mojo to the Colts or Cowboys makes sense.

I do agree, somewhat. It will be easier if the team he goes to is outside of my viewing area.
